My three years old surface laptop go is in no bootable status after a Microsoft software prompted update. I tried to reset with the recovery image but it's an hardware issue rather than a software. Microsoft customer service estimated AUD $723 for the repair. A Microsoft device with an hardware that last three years. Very disappointed

Very slow even on most apps, also many vastly innacurate reviews online – The laptop is extremely fragile and the screen was cracked just from someone lightly pushing on the top left corner. I got it brand new and it still ran all apps very slowly. It can barely handle two tabs open on chrome and runs large and powerful applications like Minecraft at around 10 fps. The only thing it has going for it is looks with a sleek and polished design, that is extremely downgraded by it's fragility. The battery life is terrible averaging about 2-3 hours compared to the promised 6 hours on the Microsoft website. It cost around $1,200 and the $600 laptop someone I know has can easily run rings around it. My iPad that is about 5 years older than the laptop can outperform it with ease. It is quite portable, but the fact that it is so lightwright makes it easy to break. I have also started to experience screen flickering in some cases. Altogether, this is a terrible laptop that is way too overpriced for what it is, has many fake reviews and becomes very hot very quickly. Do not buy it, and I hope this review has been helpful.
Purchased at The Good Guys for $1,299.
