Excellent – I am very pleased with this appliance- it makes getting five serves of vegetables a day easy. I wish I had this when I had a little child- it would be great for baby foods and sterilising equipment. We bought this when we renovated our kitchen. We hadn't seen a steam oven before and the demonstration in store convinced us. We love lots of steamed vegetables and have frequently cooked rice in the steam oven. My husband had reservations about eating unbrowned chicken but the Chicken Korma recipe changed his mind. It is terrific for par-cooking vegetables prior to roasting and great for reheating leftover food as it remains moist. We often cook breakfast side dishes- tomato, baked beans,"boiled" eggs and asparagus in there. As food can cook on three levels at once without transfer of flavours it's potential is great if you want to pop a desert in with the main meal or side dishes. A helpfull recipe book comes with it and I look forward to trying the Christmas pudding. Cleaning is easy- we dry it thoroughly with each use and leave the door ajar until the machine stops blowing air. We have slightly overcooked food when cooking two things that require different cooking times. By opening the door part way through cooking the first dish to add the second one, the total time for first item is lengthened because the oven has to return to temperature. I think this would be easily overcome with practice.
