Nice oven but touch panel stopped working - very expensive to fix told buy a new oven instead – Nice oven worked for a short while. The touch panel screen recently stopped working without any notification. Told by Miele Service it would be $3,100 (almost 50% of original cost of oven) to fix or to simply just buy a new oven. I was quite shocked at both the repair cost and the advice after having already outlayed a significant amount of money… Read more

for a premium oven. At the time of purchase we were told about Miele’s ‘Immer Besser’ (Forever Better) quality program and that Miele carries out intensive and rigorous endurance tests during the development phase in order to meet the highest quality standards and that the oven should last 20 years. Having spent almost $15,000 on Miele kitchen appliances to receive the advice from Customer Service was disappointing and frustrating.

For model H6860BP - don't waste your money – So I once had an oven that I had to keep closed with my hand or a chair propped up against it and it still cooked better that my ridiculously overpriced H6860BP model. This oven has more hot spots than the current NBN! I have actually had cupcakes burnt around the edge and still raw in center of the rack. Miele sent two people out at separate… Read more

times that couldn't find out why with the second guy confirming that it was just a really bad product. Being gullible I had paid over $7000 for this product (and only found out after a year that I had actually paid over retail price - thanks Manager of Rick Hart! Miele also had the gumption to tell me to go on a course to learn how to use their oven.....I knew more about the oven than the technical guy! I offered to send through photographs to show the burning around edges of roasts, cakes, lasagnas etc but they were not interested. Save your money and buy a cheaper product - the cheap WH in my last house worked amazingly. I would still recommend the pyrolitic program as it such a saver (if you don't mind the glass going brown).

Amazing technology and capabilities – This oven has been impressive so far. It grills and roasts meat and keeps it moist at the same time. The moisture plus setting is fabulous for meats and baking. The variety of functions (manual and automatic) is amazing. Well worth the money. Definitely worthwhile going to the free cooking classes provided by Miele to take advantage of the full potential of this product.  Show details

Would never again buy a Miele oven – Always had problems from brand new. Always drops temp by up to 40 deg. Have to keep turning it to 220 to make it cook. Heats the kitchen up really well though! expensive rubbish. We have a combo steam/convection oven which was very expensive but ok although is too small to be our main oven  Show details

The booklet I very helpful as it shows how long you should cook different types of food. It cooks super fast which is amazing. The space is fantastic and cools itself when too hot. Brilliant – Cooks nice and clean . Very impressed with the design. A well thought out oven . Cooks very well through without any problems at all. Self clean mode helps with the busy lifestyle of day to day grind. The frame is so easy to clean and maintain brilliantly done .  Show details

Just brilliant. imported ours from the UK at 1/2 the australian price – So many features buried in spec sheets. catalytic convertor so no smoke into open plan house. wireless temp probe etc . I can't agree with the grill comment, lamb loin chops with crispy tails every time. Glad I didn't pay $7000 but wouldn't complain if I did. The best oven I have ever used.  Show details

Can't grill – It is impossible to grill satisfactorily with this appliance. My expectation is that grilled meat (particularly chops and steak) will be cooked with any fat crisped slightly on the outside and still be tender and slightly pink inside. To achieve this result it is necessary to have the element on a high temperature and the meat close to the… Read more

element. This is not possible with the grill in this oven as the grill trays provided warp so much that they get stuck in the runners. I have followed the instructions in the book and all those processes produce dry, tough meat. I am unable to grill at all and have to BBQ . This is especially frustrating as the oven we installed in another house in 2009 had no such problem. This suggests cost cutting in production which compromises Miele's reputation for quality and brings into question their very high price tag. I have been in contact with the Miele advocate many times, she is always helpful and has apparently forwarded my complaint to Germany but .....zero reply. The standard oven functions work as they should. I do love the pyrolitic function and I love the telescopic runners. Would I pay $7000 for this oven again.....empahtically NO. I am extremely unhappy as I have spent in excess of $45,000 on 2 kitchens in 6 yrs and Miele's service and problem resolution on this occasion has been so bad I would not purchase Miele again.

Expensive...yes...worth it...ohh yes – This is an amazing oven. Heat distribution is superb, versitile when in manual operation, remote sensor probe cooking, moisture plus...& the list goes on. Not scared to get this one dirty as the pyrolytic function with all racks & telescopic runners left in ...looks like new again (just remember to clean the inside of the glass door before running… Read more ·  1

Some issues in the first few months, but Miele have now sorted them – The oven started playing up in the first few months and was repaired by Miele at the time. Since then, I was not confident with it, but persisted and just did what I had to do to cook in it. When it started playing up recently, Miele stepped up and sorted it. It's now running brilliantly and I'm VERY HAPPY! This rapid heating is super fast now! I can change the temp and it goes from 200 to 220 in about 30 seconds! LOVE IT! Show details ·  1
