very poor experience – The product worked well for a time. However it began making higher than normal noise so i called Miele expecting to have world class customer support. Given i paid a premium for the product and had a 10 year warranty. Boy was i in for a shock. Initial call was a 20 min wait, then when I kindly asked (as I have for other vendors) questions about the service call and my fees if it was not a product fault i was put through to a supervisor who argued with me for 20 min before agreeing to schedule the callout. I then got another call to schedule the visit but they left a message. So another 20 min wait and the new person was starting the process all over again, asking what the fault was etc. i asked kindly to have then read the note and schedule the call for the day it i was told in the previous call. When this did not happen i asked to talk to a supervisor. (see below).
It was perhaps the worst experience I have had with a home goods supplier. Another point is that the service call center in not in Australia, and while that is not an issue in general the people i spoke to were not easy to understand or communicate with. Further when I asked to talk to a supervisor i was told that supervisors don't take calls they only take emails. This is Miele - the top end brand with 'superior' service.
