Not reliable – Frankly my main criteria for buying is goods is reliability/durability. You won't get this with Miele. Its like buying a porsche - looks nice & can run well occasionally, but breaks down a lot & costs a fortune to service. all that extra expense should buy you peace of mind, but it just ropes you into a cycle of disappointment that's expensive.

Broke after warranty expired - same story with our other Miele products – It seems Miele has perfected getting their products to die as the warranty runs out. We did our entire kitchen in Miele in 2010 and everything without exception failed in the past 12 months... after warranties expired. Well-done Miele! Thats a special kind of engineering. Would advise anyone to stay away from this overpriced rubbish

Expensive And Broke Down After 5 Years – Bought this $5000 piece of machinery in 2010, we had the technicians out twice to look at it. Firstly it was noisy and did not seem to be heating up the food as it should. They claimed it was working within the parameters of the cooktop. Second time - half way through cooking dinner and it shut itself down with lots of letters indicating an error.… Read more

The technician came out and advised that it will need a major repair costing $2180!! Are you serious? 5 years old and it is not working, and will cost me that kind of money to repair?

We had a fairly cheap Westinghouse for over 13 years without incident. This is how cook tops are supposed to work Miele!

Don't bother with Miele, their service is costly, their products are costly and you certainly don't get value for money. There is plenty out there with as good a product with better reliability.

No wonder they don't offer a 5 year warranty -they would go broke!

Wonderful, Fantastic - Simply the Best !! – Expensive but well worth every penny, cleaning up is a dream, wipe with a damp cloth, cooking with it is fantastic ! example cooking pasta in a large pot, water boils quicker than my kettle, once boiling I turn down to around eight keeps on the boil without boiling over , I hardly use my microwave now , would rather cook on the stove, it's fast,… Read more ·  1

energy efficient and finally getting the intended use of my stainless steel pots, most sauces or meals once hot I turn down to 1 and it keeps it on a simmer so I have saved on power. So many features, pot size doesn't matter it automatically chooses the pot size, once turned off its cool to touch, has a timer which I don't use as I haven't had the need to.

I recommend the Miele induction to anyone who wants a clean efficient way to cook, I would never go back to gas hotplates cooking nor ceramic glass cooktop ever again

Please note depending on stainless steel pots grades can alter how much the temperature is set on, my circulon frypans need more heat but my standard pots need less heat Reliable brand, ease of cleaning and all features
