GREAT SERVICE AND CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE – I’ve had incredible service from Samantha at Miele firstly she contacted me and looked after my issue with ordering my new Miele electric ( induction) top. I’ve been a loyal Miele customer for many years and it’s great that Miele support team care about their customers to resolve issues

Very disappointing. After about 3 years of use, strongly do not recommend this product – We had an early Miele induction cooktop for 10-15 years previously, and were very happy. This more recent replacement has been totally the opposite experience, and we regret buying it. Reasons: 1. Materials poor. The glass top cracked within the first 6 months, and again recently in a different place. Miele refused to replace it, and blamed us. Though we are convinced that we never dropped anything on it or mistreated it at all. We had to buy a replacement glass, which we will have to get installed when this one becomes unusable. (Picture of the first crack attached - it's become a bit more chipped in the 2 years since it first appeared.) Also we have multiple scratches and small holes in the surface, whereas the previous Miele lasted much much better. Summary - I don't think the glass top is fit for purpose.

2. Poor usability. A number of problems here... - it keeps turning itself off. Any liquid on the glass, pan in wrong place, and some other unknown reasons. - it assumes that anything on the cooktop should be heated. So if you have a pan or something else on a ring, waiting to be cleaned or for cooking later, the cooktop will, as standard, start heating it if you turn on another cooking area. You have to turn that unwanted ring / area off manually. All too often you forget and end up cooking or burning something you didn't want heated at all. - if you boost one ring, it will / may automatically turn down another ring. No warning beep of anything to tell you it's doing that. - the alarm on the timer is so quiet, even on max setting, that it's hard to hear even fairly close by in the kitchen.

3. False marketing claim. The idea of the 'Full surface' model is that you can put a pot anywhere on the whole surface, unlike the marked circles on other induction tops. However this is false. Those same cook ring elements still exist under the surface. E.g. If you put a thin baking tray or something like that on the surface, you can see by the ring of simmer bubbles in the liquid where the heating elements are. Outside those rings no heat is provided, i.e. this cooktop is just the same as any other induction ring cooktop.
