Don't waste your money! – Purchased this when we built our new house in which we've been living in for one and a half years now. Within months of using the product I started to have issues with the cooktop. The fault was only fixed today (June 27, 2023) as that's how long it took THREE technicians and FOUR separate visits during the last year and a half to my house to determine the problem. It didn't cost me anything since the unit is still under warranty but it does not change the fact that I wasted my time in calling and waiting for Miele to organize and send people over or that I was forced to use a faulty product for over a year. Don't even get me started on how hard it is to clean this thing! The 'cooking surface' of the hotplate is not smooth i.e. it has a slight roughness to the glass. Grime and spillage gets into the tiny dips and good luck trying to clean that. I had to purchase a special cleaning product from Miele as was told that will clean it (Ceramic and Stainless Steel Cooktop Cleaner) but you need to give it some serious elbow action for it to work. Terrible! Let's just say that I am not enjoying my first ever induction cooktop experience. Purchase price $4800 in 2021. Retail price was $5200 but I got a discount.
EDIT: July 5, 2023 Allyson M (Customer Advocate from Miele Australia Pty Ltd) called and advised that Miele will extend my warranty for another 2 years as a "goodwill gesture due to the inconvenience I experienced". Confirmation email of same was received within 30min of discussion. Thank you Allyson.
