OK until it isn't – I loved my dryer T8827 from Miele but after 10 years service I turned it on and there was no response it did not trip my RCD switch it just did not light up. Contacted Miele store where I bought it and they said "maybe the fuses are blown". So engaged an electrician He couldn't find the fuses. Contacted Miele they didn't know where fuses were. Sent a diagram with some parts and numbers I asked where fuses were they said they don't supply information on what the numbers relate to. So finally after LOTS of customer service emails had the advice that this model does not have fuses. SO as to what has happened no one knows. I have this $2200 odd dryer that was working perfectly and suddenly not What do I do Miele do not want to know about it Following on from my washer which died after 8 years Miele advertising that they last at least 20 is just hurtful. I at present never want to buy Miele again BUT I loved my dryer however cannot afford to loose $2k again if I purchase and it dies The customer service is horrendously bad. I live in remote rural town and cannot get a Miele service man Outcome 1. bill from electrical who could not find fuses as my purchase store told me 2. finally after 3 days told no fuses. 3. dryer sitting there not working 4?? what do I do now just ditch it Really cheesed off!!

Purchased in for $2,299.

I have taken lots of time for this "reaching out" to Miele There latest advice is to take it to a service centre in Perth where they will look at and and charge for this! I live (as I have told them) 820kms from Perth so that is NOT an option Customer service is hopeless

Has never worked properly - does not dry! – I have had so many issues with this machine - the latest is a string of things that need fixing, all one after the other costing me over $1000 and the machine is still not drying clothes, I have never had water in the tank. The biggest waste of time and money and always serviced by an authorised repairer. The experience dealing with Miele customer support has also been terrible. They take nearly an hour to answer the phone and weeks to answer emails. Really disappointing for such a premium brand.

Purchased in at Miele for $2,372.

Simply doesn't dry clothes! – This was just about the most expensive dryer on the market when we bought it, but sadly it just doesn't work very well. We bought it to replace an excellent conventional Miele dryer that we had used for many (many!) years until it finally broke down - that good experience lead us to buy another Miele, this time the 8827WP intended to "save energy".

Unfortunately the new dryer simply doesn't dry anything! We only use it occasionally, mostly we dry on a line in the garden, but when we do use it it takes all day. For example, today we washed a load of towels, well within the 8kg rating of the machine and spun to the limits of the matching Miele washing machine. Before putting them in the dryer I cleaned all the filters and lint traps and emptied the water tank. I selected the relevant program ("cotton") and set the machine to "extra dry". It started up, and the "Perfect Dry" system calculated that it need 2 hours and 6 minutes to dry the towels. That's a long time! But...... when the machine completed the cycle and I opened the front, I found a pile of hot and damp (steam was coming off them as I pulled them out) towels. The water tank has water in it, so the machine is doing "something", but there is no way that these towels are even close to being dry. I started the same program again on these supposedly "dry" towels, and the "perfect dry" system calculated they now required 2 hours and 9 minutes to dry........

This machine has never worked satisfactorily, no matter what we have done with it. It looks great, is very solidly built and is easy to use, but it simply doesn't dry laundry! We've had it for several years, and I'm now posting this review because today we have finally decided to take it to the tip and replace it with something that actually works! I'm guessing it won't be a Miele!

Excellent product - no faults! – We purchased the T8827WP in 2013 along with a matching Miele washer and have never had a single problem with either product since. Appreciate that Miele white ware is more expensive but our experience is that they are quality products and last a lot longer than many of their counterparts. We use both items daily & would have no hesitation in recommending to others. The filters need cleaning regularly especially the door ones but this is very easy to do & as a result it is rare that the 'clean filters' red light comes on. Spares can be purchased online for several reputable spare part suppliers. We whip the foam lint filter out once a week or so, and replace with a spare - wash & shake the prev filter and leave to dry off completely for reuse next time. We have found the heat pump model far more economical than a condenser model dryer. Overall very satisfied.

Excellent piece of machinery – Absolutely fantastic. First time drier owner and with the arrival of our first child cannot live without the drier on rainy days. It complements our miele washing machine and condenser water drains directly in to a sink to minimise hassle of draining condenser water. Would recommend miele technicians install as it is heavy and expensive piece of kit. Exceptional and getting clothes dry including delicate fabrics and large loads Expensive but worth it.
