Love my MIELE ! – We have had this machine for nearly 14yrs. It has always worked as a dream. I would recommend MIELE products, we also have a dishwasher of at least 5 years. NOT had any problems xx Show details
starsIssue out of box, easily resolved – easy to set up and use ... even towels and blankets dry nicely in this little machine as long as it isn't overloaded. The best part is saving $3 per load drying my clothes in my apartment rather than the nasty laundry facility in my building. I was concerned about my electric bill but it hasn't gone up anywhere near the amount i was spending in the laundry room. This machine will have paid for itself in about 4 months thanks to that savings! Show details · 1
Excellent Miele Washer / Drier – I have a Miele washer /Drier WT 2670, had it over ten years, No problems with it. Had an engineer (Miele) service it. Cost was about UK£40.00. Just recently accidentally managed to somehow change the language to Czec, not sure how I managed that. The instruction manual isn't really very helpful. So all I did was put in the model number and how do… Read more · 1
I change the language, into the google search and heh presto up came the answer. I am looking forward to many more year from this machine. It's excellent. A bit expensive but money well spent. BernieNorwich
Lots of problems, don't buy Miele – Purchased in July 2007 for nearly $3,000. Thought 'German quality', will last... Did not work out that way: Problems during guarantee period and got a motherboard replacement. It worked well for a couple more years, then more problems and now it was out of warranty! Lots of emails (I live in Central Qld), finally got a tech to look and something… Read more
was done and it worked again. 2 yrs ago got a new repair person to check who talked to Miele in Brisbane and said he'd get it working again, BUT it really needed another motherboard at $1,000.00! I was not prepared to spend that and he got it going - sort of! I can wash normal loads, BUT I need to wring out some loads by hand and then SPIN them!!! Towels need to be wrung out by hand and then put back for 'spin & dry'! Isn't that amazing???
Planning to buy a different brand, less expensive machine next week, and cannot recommend the Miele combo one at all!
Makes clothes stink, have to empty the front pocket once a week, dryer takes forever!!!! – Worst machine ever! I spent so much money on this washer and dryer and all my clothes smell like mildew,(I have washed with Clorox and HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING prevent smell) the front right small door at BOTTOM has to be unscrewed and cleaned out once a week because water builds up and makes my entire laundry room smell like sewer, IMMEDIATELY… Read more
when clothes are FINSIHED washing I have to take them out of my washer and put in dryer, which dryer is usually going because it takes hours to dry something so I hang them OR ELSE THEY WILL SMELL. I have 2 lululemon jackets (200.00) cannot get the smell out of so they are ruined. Customer service not helpful! Basically my problem is what I get from them. Worst washer and dryer ever, but most expensive I have ever purchased! So disappointed!
Miele wt2670 – My miele WT2670 worked for 10 years, then a fault code displayed on lcd screen-f53 contact service. I rang miele melb The cost is as follows- service man cost $165 first 30 mins, $150 per hour + parts. I dismantled the machine my self to find carbon brushes where damaged on closer inspection & the commutator ring also damaged. It required a new… Read more

cost from miele $560 motor replacement + aprox 2 hours tech time from miele, total aprox $875 for repairs. Miele claims 20 years run time, this is total crap. I sent the machine for scrap metal.
Mixed results for a very expensive washing machine – It seems to clean quite well, and I have found the unit reliable (in that it's never broken down), but there are some issues that are disappointing in a machine in this price range. The main problem is the software. It's complicated to use and somethings occasionally just don't seem to work. The load indicator is an example. Sometimes when I… Read more
push the button to view the load indicator it just doesn't do anything. Even if I recalibrate it, that doesn't necessarily help. This seems to be especially problematic if the machine is warm, after having completed a load. The load indicator is important since it prevents you from overloading the machine, which is one thing you can do to make sure your clothes get dry by the end of the wash. This leads to the second problem. On the normal cotton cycle the clothes rarely come out bone dry. When I take them out I have to put them in a wire basket to air them off and let them completely dry before folding. Other niggles are that the plastic digital display screen has cracked and the front panel buttons are flimsy and can get stuck behind the fascia that they're mounted it. For a $3500 machine (bought in 2009) I expected more.
Big waste of money – Our machine is 8 years old and has needed an expensive repair about every two years (twice already this year), doubling the cost of the machine (I estimate ~1k per year). The machine takes an unpredictable and extremely long period of time to wash and dry. Clothes are generally still damp after drying and frequently the clothes just don't dry at all without a reason given. Load indicator only works when it wants to.
Expensive lemon – I purchased this machine because of Miele's reputation for quality and reliability. The purchase price was $2899 in 2007. It started breaking down less than 2 years later. Basically I have spent over $3000 on repairs and have recently been quoted another $900 to fix something else. Miele have been a nightmare to deal with, difficult and … Read more
obstructionist every step of the way. When I involved the state consumer department last year Miele would only offer an extra year's warranty. Miele still advertise that their machines last 20 years!!!
I am taking Miele to QCAT (Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal ) and Miele are contesting it. I just want my money back. I will never, ever buy Miele again.
Better than I expected – Bought this machine new, three years ago, on special discounted nearly 40% (the new model with steam was coming out), to replace a 10-year old Ariston AB95 washer only (which I expected to last only 2 years being Italian but just wouldn't die). Was concerned about the washer-dryer being less reliable on the whole than a stand-alone washer in all… Read more
surveys I have read including the UK, but I was hardly going to use the dryer. I mostly use this as a washer, doing anything from 1-3 loads on a weekend (normal wear, whites at 60 deg C, and sheets by themselves at 60 deg C), with the dryer function used usually in winter if the clothes are still damp after 2 days in the garage, or for fluffing towels, or emergency drying. First thing I noticed: when washing or rinsing, the machine itself is unusually quiet - I only hear the sound of wet laundry dropping on each other, not the whirring noise of the motor.
The machine only makes noise when pumping water in/out, or spinning. The start-up timer is an absolute blessing - it's like cruise control, once you have it, it becomes a must for future purchases. The digital scale is great - tells you the percentage of how "full" it is of laundry as you fill it based on your chosen cycle. Has a halogen light. Lets me add the odd piece of laundry after starting the wash, like a sock that fell out of the basket - except if Water Plus was selected. I also noticed lately in Miele catalogues, my machine also comes with braided water hoses, which is normally only on upper level Miele machines. No problem whatsoever.
I did buy because Miele is just about the only manufacturer which builds products the old-fashioned way, and they have been consistently reliable on the average in surveys for washers, dryers, dishwashers, and vacuum cleaners, but I'm not stupid - anyone can make a dud, and just like new Mercedeses are nothing like the ones from the past, there is a possibility of Miele making a bad machine. But after 10 years of an Ariston which wouldn't die - and they are not highly regarded at all - I feel that if I'm gonna end stuck with something for a long time, I'd better have something I like. It's designed for 20 years, and if it lasts as long as the Ariston, I'm happy enough. If it blows up after less than 5 years of use, well, it was still cheaper than the depreciation of a second-hand car.
I run the max temp "maintenance" wash every two months with washing crystals (no laundry), and always wipe the gasket, leave the door and detergent drawer open after a wash to keep the rubber seal from getting mildew. Negatives? Two I could think of - when you set the machine for a certain cycle, it gives an indication of how long it should take to wash, but if you load the machine more towards capacity, it recalculates and extends the time, which can skew your schedule if you set the start-up timer to finish in the morning just before you leave and find out the machine still needs another 20 extra minutes. Second, when washing fine sheets (220 thread count), together with the duvet cover, a towel and 4 pillow cases, there's some residue of powdered detergent on the sheets, I used to run another rinse-only cycle. My Ariston also did that, by the way - must be a front loader thing. I've since been washing the sheets by themselves, dissolving the detergent in hot water fully, and putting 2-3 tbsp white vinegar in the fabric softener container, which solved the problem. Incase you wonder - no, after it dries on the line, you can't smell the vinegar at all. Quiet operation, totally dependable, reliable, start-up timer, electronic scale, many different wash cycles, can add laundry aft wash started Machine can recalculate time needed for washing if loaded to capacity, detergent residue can be left on very fine sheets
Don't buy one of these – I owned one of these washer/dryers for almost four years. We didn't use the dryer and as there are only 2 of us, didn't use the washer excessively. Prior to it breaking down, it began to be less effective spinning out and then one day while washing it may very loud banging noises and broke down completely. The repairman was stunned to find that a… Read more
strong metal bracket holding one of the suspension springs to the drum had broken. "This shouldn't happen!" was his view. We got a $800 quote to fix it. It was out of warranty but surely such an expensive machine should last much longer than 4 years! We rang Miele service centre to see if they were prepared to at least contribute to the repair cost if not accept responsibility for an obviously faulty machine but they were only prepared to offer us $150 off the purchase of our next Miele washer - not likely! The appliance shop where the machine was bought said ' you're getting a raw deal" and also tried to get Miele to take some responsibility for a manufacturing flaw. Still no response, so we had to pay the $200 service fee to the appliance repair shop and buy a new machine and guess what It wasn't a Miele! Quiet, good delicate and woollen cycles
Disasterous – We have had this one for less than 5 years and the other day it stopped mid spin cycle with the loudest bang my wife has ever heard. The drum had snapped its mountings and come to an instant halt and cannot be moved now! I could have bought 6 standard washing machines for the money I spent on this piece of junk. I will never buy another Miele… Read more
product as long as I live.
Too complicates and mechanics failed catestrophicallyafter a short lifetime.
Heap of Junk – This thing is useless it washes about 8 garments at a time, the drying cycle doesn't dry them nearly dry, and takes for ever. You have to do a rinse fluff cycle every time u use it. Most irritating appliance ever. Had a fault within a month of ownership. Useless. Look Doesn't dry properly, only does a tiny load.

With Miele Washer and Dryer, the Emperor is wearing no clothes! – We paid around $4k for the miele pair of large capacity washer w4842 and dryer t9820. I was told they were a great investment and would last 20 years and make our wardrobe look great. Nothing is farther from the truth. These are the 'gifts that keep on giving'. I have to pay a service repair person about $250 per year on average just to come… Read more
and fix something. There is a week long wait. My dryer stopped working and i found the blower fan bits and parts all throughout the filter. It had been repaired two years after purchased brand new and here i was 3 years later with the same old part causing the problem. The washing machine leaves our clothes all wrinkled and shrunken and often with holes in our fine j-crew cotton t-shirts. They really are pathetic washers and dryers. I'm close to giving them away to someone who will haul them away and buying a new kenmore or maytag. I have had those brands at 1/3 of the price of these and had no problems and never needing a service person to our home. How in the world are people still buying these? They are total lemons and i am sorry but the emperor is wearing no clothes..... Because his washer and dryer are so bad. Do not buy miele or you will be sorry in your tattered wrinkled clothing with holes in it. And you will also be a whole lot poorer and frustrated too!
Leaves clothing wrinkled with holes, constantly needing repair. Huge, expensive, Annoying.
This review is not for the WT-2670 washer-dryer combo, you should put separate reviews for the washer and dryer, would help with the statistics.
Very good washer, dryer is a waste of time. Broken down twice in 2 years – We purchased a Miele washer/dryer two years ago - actually 26 months ago. We chose the Miele because it is a quality product and is advertised to last for 20 years under normal use. It cost $3,500. It broke down 5 weeks after purchase to a circuit board issue and was then replaced. It has now broken down again and is two months out of warranty. We… Read more
will now wait for one week for a technician to look at the machine and decide if the repair to our $3,500 washer should be covered under warranty as good will. Dies ist ein incrediably schlecht Kundenerfahrung und ich nicht mehr lieben Miele. That's German for this is an incredibly bad customer experience and I no longer love Miele. Very good wash Very expensive. Washing capacity is too small. Dryer is useless. Poor build quality, product does not live up to claim of expected 20 year lifespan.
Briiliant! Perfect for apartment-dwellers – This is exactly what I'd hoped for. Incredibly quiet, a range of programs, superior washing. The drying is the best part. Clothes come out perfect for a quick airing or just right for ironing. Not "crispy" like many other dryers-especially the commercial ones. It's exactly the right machine if space is tight, but you want a quality appliance that… Read more
will be gentle on your clothes. Washes extremely well. Quiet. Gentle on clothes. Incredibly convenient.
Beautiful machine, as expected – Washes and dries perfectly every time if you FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. I set the buzzer which reminds me to unpack promptly so I can air the clothes, by the time they are folded the residual steam has evaporated. I can "finger iron" the plackets and collars as I hang my shirts for minimum or no ironing. Has a fabulous "Express" wash when you're… Read more · 1
in a hurry, I use this all the time to wash and dry during winter in about 40 mins. Quiet, efficient, relatively inexpensive, economical, fast, auto wash and dry for the busy exec Smaller capacity means the doona cover has to be washed separately to the sheets (oh no!!!!)
Dryer dead – Just terrible machine. The wash feature is okay. The clothes do clean well however it takes a long time to wash a load. The dryer is just plain awful. Dead after 2.5 years. No warranty cover. Expect >$800 to repair was told. Regrettable decision! Water efficient. Unreliable, expensive difficult to get service in remote areas.

Very disappointed – I have had a Miele washing machine that was still going strong after 30 years, so (as I live in an apartment) I thought a washer/dryer would be the perfect space saver and nothing but a Miele would do. I was warned that it will only dry half a load at a time, but I didn't mind that - I don't use the dryer that often. What I wasn't told about… Read more
was that it often doesn't dry the clothes as all! There is a 60% chance of it drying clothes completely, provided I use the cotton settings (even then the washing often comes out damp - just today, I attempted to dry two towels, they are now hanging over chairs in the loungeroom, waiting to dry) but there is absolutely no hope of the load drying on any other setting. It is still under warranty, I had servicemen out here twice, they can't find any fault. I just wish they would be willing to stay here long enough to wait for a load to "dry". What I simply can't understand, and makes no sense to me is that if a load comes out damp, so I decide to put it back for another "go", it comes out even more damp the second time around The washing machine part is OK The dryer doesn't dry
my miele wt2670 wpm . doesn"t dry .
OK – previous washer/dryers of miele - the dryer dies if you do not "rinse out the fluff" regularly - now I am left with a brilliant washing machine - and I purchased a separate dryer (much cheaper than the recondition of the dryer) I beleive the HoneycombeCare drum is the only difference with my model - shame when you want to wash and then dry you… Read more
must have such a small load washer is very good - always a clean wash!! dryer dies - expensive to repair - when you still have a brilliant washer - also dryer size too small
For very effective clothes cleaning – Owned for four years now. Creates very clean wash. Good size machine for a single person, will adjust water intake for small loads to suit, so I don't have to feel guilty if I don't have a 'full' wash. But not good value for money. washes well; load size indicator and detergent guide very helpful Can be tempramental - now refuses to switch to… Read more
the dryer automatically after a wash. Load size indicator frequently fails to work. Spin is very loud. Will refuse to spin if it doesn't like the contents of the drum. For what I paid ($3,000) I expect more reliable performance.
Big purchase price average performance – After two and half years and costing $2500.00 the circuit board has been diagnosed as faulty, the cost will be $700 together with the call out fees Miele require another $1000. The drying component of this model is average at best. I will throw the machine out and purchase a Bosch at a fraction of the price. expensive and the dryer component of the machine was poor
Did you have a surge protector on the machine as 63% of board failures come from power spikes. Not… Read more (+1 reply)

Excellent – We get a lot of use out of this machine. It doesn't have a huge capacity, so we tend to put a load on every could of days, set it and deal with it when we return from work. I particulary like the feature where you can, depending on the program, select how dry you would like the items to come out of the dryer. It gives you an estimate of the… Read more
time to complete, but internal sensors monitor the load and if it requires longer to reach your designated level, it will continue the cycle, and update the time to finish. Really like the fact you put dirty clothes in one end of the cycle, and clean dry clothes come out the other with having to do more. Highly recommended and has paid for itself many times over by saving us a weekly trip to the dry cleaner. Variety of pre-programmed cycles
Has saved us over $100 per week on drycleaning. Handles delicates, silks and woolens BRILLIANTLY!
Timers and options give you flexibility with the load.
Excellent washing results, and if you follow on with a drying cycle, you set the machine in the morning, set the timer, and by the time you come home from work the items have been washed, dried and are warm and ready to fold.
Rock solid and reliable! It is pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. The manual whilst comprehensive could offer a little more clarity in respect of the various drying cycles.
Terrible – very very disappointing. miele have had such a good reputation in my family for years. but this experience and the fact that my mum has also had problems with her latest washing machine from miele will certainly affect any future purchases within the family. the quiet operation - when it worked. i disliked everything about it. i had wanted a miele… Read more
washing machine for ever. the price was high but i was more than happy to pay it as i come from a family of Miele supporters. we had two of these machines in our home over a period of 5 weeks. the first came a long 3 weeks after ordering and wouldnt work from the start. the door wouldnt close so therefore no programmes could be started. we had technical phone support to try and fix this, but it still wouldnt shut. it was then another 2 weeks to get the second one delivered after many many more chasing up phone calls,as there is no-one to service miele in our area (country w.a.)and the 2nd machine was only delivered this "quickly" because we asked for our money back if it wasnt delivered within 2 days. by this stage i had clocked up $150 at the local laundromat and had another 8 loads to do. this second machine worked for two loads! we celebrated! then on the third the same problem occurred - the door wouldnt close. we are intelligent reasonable people and followed all the instructions to the letter and were prepared to work through this, but this was the final straw. we phoned miele the next day and they are refunding our money.we now have another brand of german washing machine (delivered the same day as ordering) and very happy with it.
Excellent – Pay a high price for a quality german engineered machine with excellent washing results that will take care of your clothes for decades to come. Superb long lasting quality, plenty of programs, excellent washing results, more efficient than other washer dryer combos Price, door a bit stiff when first installed, need to read thick manual for best results
