Bought this from Woolworths because my other one, not a Mistral died after 2 years. Now this Mistral did not say high lift and neither of the others at Woolworths did so just grabbed this one as it's box was taller than any of the others. Now it does seem to be a high lift, well compared to the dead one at home which was supposed to be one, no more burning my fingers grabbing out my raisin bread. It toasts quite well and evenly on both sides. The whole toaster seems a little flimsy but then my better feeling brand one I had did feel stronger and it died after 2 years and cost $40 back then and this one was $25, so let's see how long this one lasts. But so far I like it way better than the last toaster I had.

Purchased in at Woolworths Physical store for $25.

This is not a great toaster. Very uneven in toasting, and leaves one end of the slice completely untoasted, meaning I have to flip the toast and retoast to get full toastness. The push down level is quite flimsy and doesn't seem to have any weight behind it so not sure it will last long. Only reason I am not returning it is I really need a toaster.

Purchased in at Woolworths for $35.

A reliable cheap two slice toaster – I purchased an expensive brand-name toaster for a cost of AUD96 only to have it fail within two months. Because we had visitors having a replacement unit was essential so I purchased a cheap Mistral 2 Slice Stainless Steel Toaster (Model MWT189) from Woolworths for AUD30. This failed after 16 months of continuous service having provided regular pieces of toast at an estimated capital cost of 1.1 cents per slice. I have replaced it with the same brand and model although the price had increased to AUD35. This unit is cheap but effective.
