Rubbish – Bough this unit in October so I would have AC when it got hot from bunnings Raymond terrace... Plugged it in 18/1/2019. Machine had no gas in it ....no QC stickers saying it has passed inspection before being sent out.... This machine blew 29.6 degrees when it was set on cool 16degrees ....i rang it for 3days best result was 27.9 in middle f the… Read more
night.... Set on 16degrees...it says to empty water from bottom of machine... It ran it for 3days humidity in the air was 70% not 1drop of water was inside machine ... So after my experience with this item I must tell all consumers to avoid spend extra cash n buy a quality item from other retailers.... Bunnimgs was happy to go be me $330 in-store credit but they don't have any AC left.... So thanks mistral I'm now stuck with $330 credit at binning I'll never use.... So if u like wasting money n have heaps of it buy this item... If u r like me hard working average joe n want value for your money this is not the item for you....
You are better of with a hair dryer on cool air setting – This ‘air conditioner’ is obsolete. It is noisy and completely ineffective.... it couldn’t cool shoe box in Antartica .... save ur money and buy a $15 fan for a far better result. I bought mine from Bunnings for $75 and they won’t refund my money. I have left it on the side of the road for some poor unsuspecting victim who will waste time and money taking it away. Better than fans – Product is average not that great.it is more than like a fan . It hardly cools in the beginning cooling was okay but after a week it stopped cooling. Easy to transfer from one room to another. Light weight and fits in a corner takes same space as standing fan takes but works more than that and looks better Show details
Low quality product - avoid – Returned unit within 24 hours which is a new record. System simply does not cool, the exhaust fan temperature is the same as out of the unit. Also trying to fit the ducting etc was terrible, low quality product. Same price as Kogan but not as good as that. Only Plus is that Bunnings have taken it back and refunded without any issues. Bad – Major problem i faced is the water tank gets full every 4hrs and the machine stops automatically and would not restart until the wanter tank is emptied. Essentially you have keep your self awake every 4 hrly to drain the water tank, which i think is RIDICULOUS Other wise did not give problems( mind you i did see other comparable air conditioners)… Read more

Bad – I have never owned a air conditioner before so relying on the instruction manual to tell me how to work it. It says it has a Dehumi mode, Ventil mode and cool mode but no where does it tell me what each mode does. I have tried everything and it does not cool the room. Remote control doesn't cool the room
Good – From what I have read it appears that people are looking for a plug and play solution without consulting a user manual. If you are changing the modes through auto-cool to cool to dehumidify to ventilate back to auto-cool etc, The compressor shuts off for 3 minuets as a safety precaution. Whilst for anything bigger then a small room, Of course… Read more
its not going to be effective, its only a small air conditioner, if you require effective room larger room cooling then purchase something like a 6.5Kw split system, You will be much more satisfied.
I am using this system in my bedroom, which is also where I have a 24 hour running file server and my main desktop system accompanied by two 24" LCD displays, This unit is effective in my situation for cooling the room and seems to overpower the heat outputting systems, As well as I am used to sleeping with noise.
Not a bad purchase, if you do buy one READ THE MANUAL do not just skim through and assume you know exactly what your doing and why its compressor isn't engaged after flicking through the modes several times or assuming its going to work just as well as an expensive split system model so your going to leave it running 24/7 in the largest room of the house.
For now It does what I needed it to do, there for I am happy with my Purchase unlike the many obvious idiots. Simple cooling solution for small rooms.
Deals with heat outputting computers fairly well.
Window kit is provided.
Remote Control, useful when you don't want to get out of bed.
Cheap. The sound, its not a quiet unit, unlike expensive split systems.
It is heavy, But in its defense its is a whole air conditioning system in one unit.
As stated in the manual, Cooling from 30 degrees is expected down to 24 degrees as 18 degrees to 13 degrees.
Sleep mode is a disappointment
Terrible – functions on this unit are bizarre, put it on cooling in a 30 degree + room , and it stays on fan mode for ages, then puts the aircon one for 4-5 minutes before turning off. Very disappointed with the system and will be returning it Price is good, easy to move around No idea how to make the compressor work

Good – For a unit this size, it's not so bad - people have paid around $2000 - $3000 and not gotten a whole lot better deal. It's obviously meant for a spare room or granny flat application, where ducted or other air con methods weren't installed, due to either high cost, or low useage. remote and can be moved about a small unit or large rtoom with relative ease. Some people on this review board have complained about having to empty the water tank every few hours - I bought several metres of clear plastic tubing (10mm diameter) and used a cigarette lighter to enlarge the end, so that it slips over the nozle at the bottom of the unit. This allows me to drain excess water from the tank, stright into my bathroom floor drainage hole - just squeeze the other end in while folding it flat and you can solve that problem. The exhaust pipe although a 'concertina' style, will break up after a while - i think this unit may have been meant to be placed in one position and left there. It is noisy, but I've never been woken up by it at night time, and it does give you a beautifully cooled room (depending on area/size) after an hour or so. The dust filters (two of them n one side) need cleaning at least weekly, depending on use.
Good – For a cheap and portable air conditioning option this is a reasonable unit. I have used it for two summers without any reliability issues. This unit seems to work reasonably effectively for a small area. If the area to be cooled is larger then the unit will not be so effective. In really hot weather it is necessary to have the fan turned up to a… Read more
higher level for it to be effective however as a result of that the fan is very loud and the level of noise is extreme. There is a remote control but because the display on the unit is on top of it rather than facing fowards you have to guess that you have selected the right buttons.
Excellent – I have a rather large house and it is in the full sun most of the day,it used to be unbearable in the hot weather until we got this air conditioner. It is fantastic! Cools down my lounge within an hour. Sometimes it gets too cold. Noise does not bother me at all, my cat purrs louder than this thing. Defiantly worth buying! Cools down a large room within an hour.
Terrible – I really liked this and wanted to keep it but the noise just killed it for me. No point in having a cool room if you can't hear anything else. A real shame. Fantastic cooling and powerful fan. A bit heavy but very portable and easy to move around. Nice price ($399 at Bunnings Warehouse) too. NOISY. Seriously noisy. You can't watch TV in the same… Read more
room as it unless the volume is blaring. Going to return it as a result. The manual says the noise level is rated at 56 dB(A) so I'm going to look for another model with a much lower level.

Terrible – Wasted time, money and energy, as I had to move it in and out twice.. and it weights a ton!!!! DO NOT BUY THIS!!! IT IS A USELESS PIECE OF JUNK!!!! none what so ever!!!! It says it does 18m square.... ha.. it doesn't even do a 9m square room!! I bought this at bunnings on the 27th and tried running it for a couple of hours.. it did not cool down… Read more
the room, though mine didn't blow out hot air (lucky???) but it did not blow out cold air after the 1st 20 minutes... and when I tried running it to sleep.. it sounded like we were living inside a train... the sound was so horrible it kept us up... so we ended up turning it off... and when trying to return it to bunnings (marion).. the most ridiculous thing was they told me that it was working and refused to refund (eventhough it does not cool the room down as described..) I had to ring consumer affairs then the state support to get them to tell the manager to refund the money!!!!
Good – I am very satisfied with this product, the price was reasonable. I needed this type as I have a health condition and unit keeps the air clean with humidifyer.Excellent product. I have a couple of friends who on seeing and experiancing my unit they have also invested in one. Others didn't look as smart, not bulkie and fits nicely into a small… Read more
area.
It did an excellent job when we had 47deg heat wave. It does the job in a reasonably quiet and is very efficient for the lounge. Noise to much on high, just fine on med or low.
Good – I think we got an absolute bargain at the price we paid. Units costing twice as much were much noisier and did not have the same warranty (12 months). Three other people have bought the same type unit on my recommendation and they are all very happy with theirs. A window kit would have been nice but we found a better way to vent the unit that… Read more
would have made the window kit a useless extra. It was the cheapest new portable in Melbourne. $399. Dec 2007.
Very easy to use. Very portable. Maintenance is a breeze (pun intended). Not the noisiest we tried, but still makes a fair noise (fan noise, not squeeks).
Excellent – Very good unit, is loud but not as loud as some others say. I run it with low to med fan speed (hi is pointless), cools our lounge room well. Instructions are fairly crap. I would recommend to anyone looking for a cheap cooler for the summer. Cheap, works well, portable. Not too much, just the fan noise.
