We are extremely happy with our ducted Mitsubishi reverse cycle air conditioner, it has been great in winter (installed just in time) and have also had it on cooling on some hot days. It has effortlessly kept our house in a controlled environment. Just wish we had installed it sooner! Show details · 1
Comfort zone air conditioning installed my new Mitsubishi heavy industries ducted reverse cycle air conditioning earlier this year. It effortlessly keeps my home at a stable temperature, is quiet, was installed in a single day, and included evaporative AC removal a new colour matched roofing sheet all at an affordable price. I couldn't be happier. Show details · 1
Great product, very quiet operation (inside roof), great price with a special on (at the time), touch panel control and phone app allows remote operation and specific zoning and temperatures...yet to see bills to determine energy cost..3rd party… Read more
installer was fantastic, clean and professional....happy to recommend this model for a 4x2 single story home
Follow-up · Follow up - my air touch system is 6 zones as per pic with different percentages to suit the room user, timer to turn off, outdoor unit noise is a small hum which is acceptable to neighbour and no louder than previous evap air cond operation..working like a dream in this period of hot weather

Great unit for cooling & heating – Cools my house perfectly on very hot days and very energy efficient unit Show details
Fantastic Unit – Just love this ducted air con its quiet and I can operate it from my phone in bedroom if I cannot get to wall unit in lounge. I love you can isolate the rooms that are not in use. Also if I shut the whole house up in the morning and only have lounge/kitchen area turned onto the lowest setting possible (usually I have it on 23'c) the rest of the… Read more
house still gets cool too. This can sometimes be a problem at night our main bedroom gets the breeze our teenagers rooms do not so I have their rooms on so they can sleep but I have to have a blanket on as I can feel the cool air coming down from the ceiling even though our room is not turned on. A minor irritation but it has been a godsend this summer in the West here even though we live by the coast there has been some very humid still days and with two pugs they really cannot handle the heat, we have been able to use the aircon but only on its lowest setting but its been nice and cool. Electriciy bill not in till 31/3 so will be interesting to see what the difference will be from our old TLC split system, there was only one unit in the main lounge/dining kitchen and we had pedestal fans for the bedrooms but we had to have it on full blast all day to get any relief but it was 15 yrs old. Mitsubishi is a very reliable brand and our installer Mark from Ultimte Air and elctrical services (WA only)was excellent would not hesitate to recommend.
The system installed at 08july 2021. At 12june2025 the system fully stop working the code is e42 and over 48 days the mitsubish do not fix the system . Extremely bad service Show details
Unhappy with the product – I've had issues at the beginning where aircon was NOT working at all, blowing hot air on a 38 degrees heat. My house was a sauna. Had multiple people came out to try and fix, technician says unit is definitely faulty and need replacement but then came back and managed to fix and was working great. After few weeks it wasn't performing well, still… Read more
to this day not performing well on hot days. MANNIX suggested they will come out on a hot day but now we haven't had any hot days as summer is over. So I guess we'll have to wait until till next summer. Technician says the unit (box) has been placed in the wrong area, not enough airflow which may cause it to not working as well, but MANNIX disagree and will not relocate the box.

The unit since new is extremely loud during operation, it is louder than any air-conditioning system I have ever come across, our neighbours have complained about the noise and number of times so I have to limit it's use only when it's absolutely… Read more
necessary. The controller has also malfunctioned. The service I have received from this installer (Skycon Air) was the worst I've experienced from any company, basically once the invoice was paid I've been ignored and given the run around. I selected this brand because I thought it was a premium product but I really regret selecting Mitsubishi and the installers Skycon Air. I basically have paid $12,000 for a unit that I cannot use, I would not even consider the product as fit for purpose.
Follow-up · Here are some additional information responding to questions from readers. How loud? It is loud enough for to get complaints from my neighbour on several occasions. In the daytime when you walk past the property you can actually hear the unit running from the street and at the opposite side of the house. It is a very disturbing high pitch type of… Read more

6 Month Review – Oct 2022 - So far, only used this newly installed 10kw MHI Reverse Cycle A/C (FDC100VNP -W1) on Heat But with a 6.6kw solar system it has been free to run during daylight with solar putting out more than 1500w. At night heating a whole 140m2, 3br,1bth DB/T house to 23deg, the energy usage from 6pm until 11pm has been avg 2.2kw per hour for the… Read more · 1
first hour then avg 1.0kw per hour for the next 4 hours. Thats $1.86 a night. Synergy Perth Western Australia Rates July 2022 $0.30.0605c Per KW. A/C cooling update Oct 4th 2022 Ran A/C on cooling for an hour at 21deg. It pulled about 1kw from export solar for a few minutes and settled down to operate at about .5kw - .6kw. So with my 6.6kw solar system there was no draw down from the grid providing solar is generating more than about 1kw. Seriously I couldn't be happier. Update Jan 3rd 2023, running A/C at 23deg for 3 hours a night (no solar) - Energy usage was 2.5kw per hour or $0.75 per hour for the first two hours then dropped to about $0.35c per hour. Feb 2023 ran for 3 days straight at 23 deg at a cost of just under $5.00 per day with nil cost expense between 6am and 5pm due to solar and still exporting back to grid. Very happy with performance and cost
Works great – The system works great and cools or heats our 550cum (around 200sqm with 2.7m high ceilings) house quickly. We installed it in Feb/2021 and it coped well with the extreme heat outside whilst still keeping the entire inside at 24 degrees. We have had no complaints from our neighbour regarding noise from the outdoor unit - it is right near their… Read more
bedroom. It can not be heard from inside our house - but we do have double glazed windows.
The return air duct is in a narrow hall near a spare bedroom. There is an audible noise due to the large volume of air being circulated when it is first switched on until it gets the house to the set temperature - its not really noticeable after that. There is no significant noise at the outlets.
I am a little disappointed in the control system that was installed - but this was probably more an issue with the installer and me not really knowing what I wanted. In saying that, the control system we have installed is quite intuitive and easy to adjust.
I would recommend this ducted system and would never go back to the two split systems that it replaced.
Outstanding High Capacity Air Conditioner – After some research, I decided upon having the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries FDUA200AVSAVG system installed to replace our 19 YO Temperzone 22KW Unit. The Temperzone was operating to spec but we were looking for more efficiency and convenience that modern inverters can provide. My reasons for choosing the FDUA200AVSAVG were : 1. It … Read more
uses less electricity for for a given output than most other units I had considered at the price point. 2. The wide operating range of the inverter, 3. The extra massive cooling /heating capacity over similar spec competition 4. Low noise of both internal and external units.
Since the new installation was commissioned, it has exceeded my expectations. The cooling /heating effectiveness surprised me , not only by the speed and effectiveness that it can air-condition the house, but by how efficiently it does it without having to ramp up to full power. It still has to face 40+ degree heat next summer, but it has already proved to be noticeably superior the the 22KW Temperzone, which itself coped very well in extreme heat.
In terms of noise, the internal unit is silent and I have yet been able to hear operating it even when standing directly below it ( ceiling in between). The outdoor unit at full power is quieter than the Temperzone unit it replaced and of course it operates at less than full capacity most of the time making it very quiet indeed for such a powerful unit.
The unit also has a "high power" mode which effectively turns it into a 28KW cooling/ 30KW heating unit . It is good to know that it will be able to meet any challenges run the future.
Installation and commissioning by Dlux Air in Perth was first class and they were a pleasure to deal with throughout the process. Any issues that they encountered at the site were cheerfully worked through and solved.
Positive reviews
Unit works well generally but it turns off on cold mornings for about 5 minutes. I have had it looked at numerous times and had a new control board fitted recently to stop the turning off but it still does it. This problem has gone on now for over 2 years. Wes, the service guy has been terrific but doesn't know how to fix it.

Service center gave me accurate information that claim will be evaluated as to be covered under warranty or not based on the attendance info from the service agent. The service agent was also very thorough and helped to resolve the matter. It was fixed promptly under warranty. Thanks for transparent service.
The best option in the market – Great product, extreme cooling and heating output. I was reluctant at the beginning but after reviewing many quotes from different installers I decided to go with Mitsubishi heavy industries. highly recommend. Show details
Negative reviews
Poor follow up after installation by Mitsubishi – The equipment seems to be performing admirably but the whole process was spoilt by the extreme difficulty in obtaining from Mitsubishi the $300 cash back. We wasted so much time following up with our supplier Coogle and Mitsubishi. No good words from us. Lift your game Mitsubishi in your after supply service to customers. Regards, Des O’Brien
Broke down in 10 months, MHIAA not responding and taking any action – Bought this unit trusting the brand "is the highest quality in the market". Into its 10th month, made a big noise and stopped cooling properly. On a 38° day, used to cool the whole house easy down to 25°, now doesn't cool below 28° even if it's only 28° outside. Tech came in, took log from the machine. I had to call several times to get a… Read more
feedback, which was that they said see it's working on light load, but say it's normal!!! It's good until something goes wrong. Then forget it... Horrible brand, I do not suggest them at all.
It's so far, so good – We don't have any issue, except it's stopped working after a week! I raised my request to fix it, and it took a while, sending someone to have a look, they found the whole outdoor system has to be replaced, as it's faulty. It happened, and we don't have any issue after all. Show details

Great! – The current summer, with consecutive days over 40ºC, has proven the MHI FDUA160AVNXWVH unit to be quiet, efficient and effective. The only thing we needed to do was add some louvres to direct the external unit's airflow over the fence, rather than having it bounce straight back at it. A top discharge option would make the unit more suitable for many Australian houses close to boundary fences. Show details
FDUA160AVNXWVH Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ducted System – 7 months in now and the FDUA system along with airtouch 2 is working perfectly. External sound levels are better than I had hoped they would be. The unit installed on 30 July 2024 was actually FDUA160AVNXWVH however product review doesn’t have a code for it. It is a single phase 16kW ducted system. Installed at our property with an Airtouch 2… Read more
4 zone system by Gemin3 A/C. The system is pretty quiet for a unit of its size …a little better than expected. The install was faultless.
Good unit but too noisy – This is a great unit performing well thru summer and now winter. It is however noisy and we can hear it whilst sitting in the lounge. Several efforts by the installers has improved things but has not eliminated the sound coming into the house from the outside unit. We often turn it off because of the noise level. It disappoints us when the Daikin… Read more
we had for the previous ten or so years was super quiet. I am not sure if this is normal for the Mitsubishi unit but I would hope it is something that can be rectified.
Great unit so far – The unit is very quiet in operation. Seems well built. I like the fact it has a pump for the drain. The only issue is that the control panel could be more user-friendly. I am sure it has all the features, but it takes reading the manual for the more complex settings. Show details

So far so good – It's just what I need for my small cozy 3 bedroom house. Easy to use, the bill looks alright and my house keeps in a suitable temperature. The deal I got back to then was wonderful!!!! Show details
Satisfied tenants! No complaints – Purchased July 2022. Recommended by SA Heating & Cooling, with whom we have done prior business and have always been satisfied. Tenants are now happy with the new system. Show details
Great unit but not the greatest installation – The air conditioning is great, but the installer's workers were rushing through the whole installation. They cracked my ceiling while pulling apart the old gas unit. Then I had to supervise one man so he will connect the outlets properly. He was doing a very dodgy job ( hot air/cold would have escaped to the ceiling) as he wanted to go home ASAP.… Read more
The electrician was very professional, but the guy who supposes to explain how to use the unit did know much either. He has left the manual/ instructions but not for this unit. So I had to call the boss who came to my home 3 times to explain to me how to use the unit and wrote my own user manual.
Disappointed – The ducted AC struggles when temps hit 35 I have to use a ceiling fan as well as the AC Another 2000 would have given me a daikin , the same as my Neighbour , their ac works superbly The ceiling was also damaged by the installers and it took a bit to get them back to repair it My unit also had a fault and a part had to be replaced. replaced but had to wait about two weeks . Not great for an expensive household item. Not the best choice.
Does a great job heating and cooling. Easy to use – We used it on heat cycle last winter and was great. This summer was not that hot so only needed to use it occasionally. We mostly used it on Eco setting set at 23 degrees. Installation was quick. Unfortunately the installer didn't hook up the ducting in roof space making it difficult for our builder when doing work in roof space and installing new… Read more
insulation. We had to get the builder to hook it up and some sections of ducting were too short to hook up.
Good but slight noise from fans – Works great and very subtle. Only issue is slightly noisy fans outside and condensation drip from one outlet on very hot days Show details
This ducted unit meets all of our expectations – a great reverse cycle unit that is amazingly efficient and quite, the unit very quickly cools our whole house. Have not yet tried heating. Show details
VERDICT PENDING! – We recently replaced a 20KW Accent Air Ducted system with a 21KW MHI system in order to take advantage of inverter technology & hopefully save on our power bill. I must say the new system works treat but has not saved any power. Ie same quarter last year is lightly lower than same quarter this year. I believe this the new system doesn't turn off… Read more
once it reaches the desired temperature. It merely ramps down but still keeps running. This has been the cause of much discussion in our home as my wife complains she is freezing. Our system is controlled by the Airtouch controllers. At this point we are still waiting for our installation company to return & hopefully make some programming changes. I haven't chased them up at this time. The system has worked better than our previous system throughout the few, extremely hot day we have experienced this previous summer. We have yet to experience a winter.
