Dealer did not set up properly
Working OK now, but some more training for your dealers they did not know how to set it up we had to talk to Mitsubishi support before we could get the answer we wanted. Mitsubishi support were very patient with me and found an error in the way it was set up.
The air had been blowing cold some of the time when it was set to off. We complained to the dealer who installed it on two occasions. They sent their service people out twice, but neither time did they fix it. In our frustration we called Mitsubishi support line in the east and they talked us through changing some of the settings.to stop it blowing the cold air. We received no instructions to make these settings when the system was installed.
Purchased in June 2019 for $8,600.00.

Outstanding High Capacity Air Conditioner
After some research, I decided upon having the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries FDUA200AVSAVG system installed to replace our 19 YO Temperzone 22KW Unit. The Temperzone was operating to spec but we were looking for more efficiency and convenience that modern inverters can provide.
My reasons for choosing the FDUA200AVSAVG were :
1. It uses less electricity for for a given output than most other units I had considered at the price point.
2. The wide operating range of the inverter,
3. The extra massive cooling /heating capacity over sim...Read more

Works well hot or cold
The unit does its job very well in both hot and cold conditions. It is also very quiet and the controls are reasonably easy to operate. I will have no hesitation in acquiring another similar unit to cover the rest of our property.

Perfect all rounder!
The unit copes extremely well so far in both hot and cold weather.
I'm extremley satisfied with the performance of our this unit in both heat and cooling mode, the controls are easy to use when applying different settings and different zones.
This unit seems to work well in all seasonal conditions, especially over summer on those 40 degree days (set on 24 degrees summer and 21 winter).

MITSUBISHI HEAVY 14KW DUCTED REVERSE CYCLE
Don’t waste your money. Two hours of heating to reach 22 degrees in an 11 square unit with a 14kw system. Make sure you have a lot of blankets and extra $ for the excess power bill. Mitsubishi Heavy finds this acceptable. Cooling in summer was also dismal. We were able to prove John from Acute who first came out lied about the temperature reading among a number of other things despite having a witness significantly different to what Mitsubishi found by 10 degrees. Request someone else. “Discussions” on how connections should be in their view...Read more
are just that it is not an area of their expertise - quote. They cannot / will not back up whether or not they perceive it to be a problem. Blame was put on everything else despite 2 other experts confirming to the contrary. So after 2 hours of running the unit ... finally reaching 22 degrees and switching off we were advised it is acceptable with no comment on any of the so called “discussions” (not their expertise) and what they tried to pick on. Unfortunately this is an expensive outlay and we need to put up with it until it breaks down or deemed unfit for use.Purchased in September 2019.

Complete Comfort
The unit copes extremely well.
I am satisfied with the performance of this unit. The controls are easy to use when applying different settings.
This unit seems to work well in all seasonal conditions.
My only concern is the outside unit is a little bit noisy, but that i would think this is to do with the size of the unit?

Amazing Experience with Mitsubishi Ducted system
Hello
I have always had Daikin ducted systems installed by Parsons Air, but this time the team highly recommended a Mitsubishi system which i agreed, I am absolutely stunned of how quiet and highly efficient the system is operating. The system keeps the whole house cool and warm as per season dictate, and i still can tell when the system is operating its just so quiet. Even the outdoor unit is extremely quiet and cycles in and out so smoothly and quietly. I will now always stay with Mitsubishi. All of my friends can't believe how wonderful...Read more
the system operates I know a few of them are looking at purchasing this brand. Without any hesitation I strongly would recommend the Mitsubishi brand. Parsons Air also played a major role in the design and installation process which too was just outstanding service. So if you are planning to have a ducted system install and you live in Queensland give Parsons Air a call and only purchase a Mitsubishi system. Operating Cost is much lower than the Daikin's I used to have which i wasn't expecting but makes me smile each time i get the electricity bill. I have not received any payments of freebies for this review, I was just compel to write one to let others know there is no need to shop around. The system was very competitive in price and for what you get is great value. Do your favour an invest a Mitsubishi system I promise you will not regret that decision. Dont buy IT.
Unit is noisy in roof and outside compressor as well. It freezes up solid in temps of 4 degrees or less even though it has shelter and gd airflow well outside of supplied specs. When i experienced problems i rang MHI several times was dismissed to the retailer Mannix after multiple calls to them and differing advice from both parties several times the last i heard was it was neing fobbed off to installer when he might be close by. In the end i have just endured what i believe is a poor performing unit and no one ever turned up or rang back. I...Read more
would of made at least 15 calls to MHI or Mannix and it was tortuous. If they read this you still owe me sayisfaction or an apology. Just as i post this today we were about zero or 1 degree and unit barely warmed house. At most times it is inconsistent with fan speeds or consistent operation whether its on heating or cooling. The day they installed it later that day the technician told me the unit had no gas they had to remove it and finish up a few minor things then wait around till another unit was couriered up. Although the contracted installers seemed professional and courteous i believe they did not pressure test the second unit and other minor issues as rain and darkness beat them because of faulty unit. I was complaining within two days about that issue and the drain and noise plus the freezing solid of the unit in 3 degree temps when i was told it should work to minus 5 degrees. The unit doesn't just frost it makes solid ice. I tried and tried to get satisfaction and assurance and i got nothing nothing but buck passind misinformation and atrocious service . I even paid for 1 extra zone so it should be efficient. I haven't thought about this for ten months till this review asked me to write about it and i think MHI AND MANNIX should give me a full refund. I cant even ring them cause i got nothing but led around by the nose and a technician never turned up i thought surely they would of attended within 4 or 6 weeks but i believe that was their scheme to stop me ringing and sending photos of thPurchased in June 2019 at Mannix for $7,350.00.

Does this unit come with a zone controller

Not as standard
A Myair zone controller is available when you order from your installer.
Yes- but built in to the standard wired remote control. However, it can only handle 4 zones. I went with an iZone controller for zone control. With this you can also control your AC system via a phone app and it gives you full zone control including individual airflow. Standard controller does not.

Hi Nat,
This model is our 12.5kw ducted system and can definitely be used in residential applications.
If you can provide your postcode and best contact number I'll get a local MHIAA installer to get in touch to provide a quote!
Details
The Mitsubishi FDUA Series is available in eight different models, ranging from 7.1kW to 20kW. The 7.1kW single phase is suitable for a smaller home, as it uses only one source of power with a reduced amount of energy. For more spacious homes, the three-phase 20kW unit may be better suited, as it draws energy from three sources of power.
Each air conditioner in the FDUA series allows you to control different air zones. If there are any empty rooms, you can help ensure that energy is not being wasted by turning the air conditioning down to a low setting or by shutting it off completely - while continuing to use the air conditioning in other rooms.
Features:
- Integrated air purifier reduces allergens caught in filters and controls growth of mould and bacteria. However, this AC isn’t self-cleaning - it requires a professional clean every couple of years to ensure that it’s working at optimal functionality.
- Wi-Fi operation optional, with separate purchase of a specialised adaptor
- Various timers, including an on/off timer and sleep mode
