Modcon Oasis

Modcon After Sales Service – We purchased our Modcon late last year. Firstly, I have to say that we really like it and it will be our travelling home for some time. It is comfortable, tows well and is well appointed. However we had to take it back for some warranty work, namely dust getting in and more seriously the screen door unaligned and allowing insects in. Not fun in… Read more
Summer. The after sale service from Modcon was nothing short of appalling. We had been forewarned by friends who had needed some after sale assistance but were really hoping to prove them wrong. Did not happen, we were treated like royalty when we purchased the MC and like lepers and imposters when we needed this warranty work done. For the record very little repair work was done and we have decided to attend to it ourselves.
Every trip I wonder what will break next – I don't normally do reviews but I'm so disappointed with my camper I needed to write this one. Every time I take the camper out I wonder what will break next. We purchased the Modcon FF1 camper in late 2018, from day 1 the draws in the kitchen would come open when travelling and this meant I had to get a long screwdriver to lift it up so I could… Read more
pull out the kitchen. Ok, just a small thing, now we just tape them up before we travel. Then the LED light strip above the kitchen was falling off, again just a small thing and I got some Selley's Allclear and glued it back up. Then the water connection to the kitchen leaked, I tried putting an O ring in it but ended up buying and fitting a new water connector. The water gauge doesn't work, again, not a big deal, when no water comes out of the tap I know to fill it up. The tap in the kitchen sink doesn't work properly anymore, you need to push it to the left as you pull it down. The LED tail lights started to fade out until the lights didn't work anymore so I needed to replace the tail lights. The water tank started leaking so I rang Modcon at Capalaba to see if they could help me as I was departing on a trip in 2 weeks, but their response was, "Ah, we couldn't look at it until November", he really wasn't interested. The seam on the water tank had not been welded properly so I took it out myself and got it welded up. The the latest incident on our trip was the shackle on the chain linked to suspension came undone and by chance as I walked past the camper I saw the chain hanging down. It didn't cause any issue but the thread on the shackle has a hole in it and for the sake of a 50 cent clip it would have saved the disappointment of again having something else needing attention. I have resigned to the fact that these camper trailers have inferior parts and you just have to keep fixing things. I just wonder what is going to break next, unfortunately, it doesn't make for a good holiday when you always thinking about what will will be next to go wrong, so my camper will be up for sale after this latest trip.
Excellent – I bought this camper after seeing it at the caravan camping expo in Brisbane, the family business is very friendly and helped me decide on a few modifications that I needed, i am more than happy with my camper and i have gone back to change a couple of things and they have been more than accommodating with my requests, highly recommend these guys… Read more
