I purchased my MonTen Soda maker in January 2025, and it has already become completely unusable and potentially dangerous. Now, the machine has failed entirely: it no longer carbons the water, but instead builds up excessive pressure that causes water to "burst" out violently when trying to disconnect the bottle. This is a clear safety concern. To make matters worse, the machine is leaking internally and leaving rusty stains on my kitchen benchtop, something that should never happen with a premium-priced appliance designed for use with water. I have attempted to visit their website (montensoda.com.au) to lodge a warranty claim, only to find the link is dead and the site is down. Based on other recent reviews, it’s clear these quality and durability issues are widespread and many others may experience the same dilemma. Whether within the 12-month warranty or not, a product at this price point should last longer than 15 months without rusting or becoming a safety hazard. I would strongly advise others to look at more reliable brands until MonTen addresses these manufacturing flaws and fixes their customer support channels.
I bought this soda fountain as we enjoyed our basic one which we had for years.Just wanting to let you know that the copper is impossible to clean in this tropical environment and really looks cheap chatty and grunge in this environment. I really have to throw it away as it looks awful. Not recommended for the tropics

Product stopped injecting gas. Reported it, got sent a new one. Then second one started to fail and then stopped injecting gas as well. It's a faulty product and when you investigate it seems like a cheaply designed product. They also avoid replying to complaints. I reported latest fault and have heard nothing for a month. Avoid. The so called copper one is more like a very garish gold, something better suited to Maro Lago perhaps. The style was nice but I never used it because I hated the colour. live chat is dead chat. The length of time it takes to get a response takes several hours to days to not at all! Seems to be only one person answering the queries Their website has a phone number but it is disconnected! I returned my Soda maker and it took a week, after they received it, of constant messaging and enquiring when I would get my money back. Then they told me PayPal wouldn't accept their attempt to pay me. The problem was at their end, not mine. So more delays. More messaging, more waiting and finally I received a refund. The communication when it did come was short and did not always answer all my questions. It was very frustrating dealing with them. So my advice is, be sure it's want you want before buying and think twice about the so called copper one. I received it quickly so I grant them credit for that but they will charge you postage even though the other company I went with in the end sent theirs for free as do most when you spend that much money.

MonTen Soda Maker - Copper – Our MonTen Soda Maker has saved us so much money, as we were buying eight to ten bottles of Soda water a week. The copper looks so stylish on our kitchen bench and I constantly get asked “what is that?” The general comments are very complimentary. It has just developed a small problem at the moment with the gas not cutting off but I’m sure this will be overcome, and meanwhile, we know when to release it. I wouldn’t change it. I love it! Big and unattractive – The machine is much bigger in real life. It is also very cheaply made from a tacky plastic. Colour does not look the same as online and we are disappointed. They don't do change of mind refunds and I can see why. I could have got something similar out of china for 10 dollars. Show details
