Initially, l was a little disappointed with the Sodaking. It's not as simple to use as the Sodastream(only one button but still) and water would go… Read more

everywhere until l learned that you have to hit the button, gas it then let it rest and repeat until you get the required carbonation. I would prefer the Sodastream but Sodaking does give you more flexibility to gas up your water. Recommended.

I purchased my MonTen Soda maker in January 2025, and it has already become completely unusable and potentially dangerous. What started as a stylish… Read more

addition to my kitchen has turned into a major disappointment and a liability. The issues began with the machine burning through CO2 gas cylinders at an alarming rate, suggesting an internal leak. Now, the machine has failed entirely: it no longer carbons the water, but instead builds up excessive pressure that causes water to "burst" out violently when trying to disconnect the bottle. This is a clear safety concern. To make matters worse, the machine is leaking internally and leaving rusty stains on my kitchen benchtop, something that should never happen with a premium-priced appliance designed for use with water. I have attempted to visit their website (montensoda.com.au) to lodge a warranty claim, only to find the link is dead and the site is down. Based on other recent reviews, it’s clear these quality and durability issues are widespread and many others may experience the same dilemma. Whether within the 12-month warranty or not, a product at this price point should last longer than 15 months without rusting or becoming a safety hazard. I would strongly advise others to look at more reliable brands until MonTen addresses these manufacturing flaws and fixes their customer support channels.

I’m using the Carbonator 3 for a bit more than a year. Works very good, simple operation with consistent results. And the design is just amazing. Love it! Show details

This is our third soda stream in the last 10 years. This time we chose a model with less moving parts in hope that it would be more reliable. After 1… Read more

month the machine was leaking gas from the valve where the cannister attaches. Upon googling, this is a very common fault with newer soda stream machines which are not made of good quality parts so they will fail and have to be replaced.

After contacting the soda stream Australia helpdesk I had a phone call saying to keep tightening the cannister and it would be fine. It kept having the issue, and now around 4 years later it leaks gas EVERY TIME we want to gas a bottle. The help desk says given it is now out of warranty there's nothing they can do despite previously notifying them of this issue- and offered us 20% off a new machine. We do not want to buy a new machine continually after 2 years- it is so wasteful. My parents older model does not have this issue.

Google 'soda stream alternatives' as there are other brands that don't have this issue that we will now be purchasing. Soda stream has really dropped in quality unfortunately.

but top seal leaks all CO2 into upper head. So no pressure and zero carbonation of water. I threw out receipt as bought with groceries. I suspect it was a returned faulty put back on the shelf. So can only review this item as junk and a loss of $70 and a bad experience. Deffective out of the box.

2023. It did everything we expected and the new bottles are a much better size than the previous ones. We use them as water bottles now when not carbonating but still create a fizzy drinks whenever we need one. Have not really got into making the fruit drinks as we are usually in a hurry but the new LUXE system is a definite improvement on the old. I even forgot my own warnings to the family and put all three bottles in the dishwasher which destroyed them. It was pretty funny when I tried to put them back into the black base (they had all fallen off) and they were too small! Seems the heat shrinks them by %20 so no hot water please! I ate humble pie, explained my situation to Quarbo support and asked for mercy as the replacements are not exactly cheap. They were champions and helped me out with a discount to ensure I could continue to enjoy my product. All in all I am very happy with the product and the after sales service. It has been durable and long lasting. The pressure caps are significantly better in the LUXE model.
