Look deeper, looks are deceiving – Could not agree more, very noisy and you do actually have to stop conversation while it is boiling, hate that! I have always had Russell Hobbs previously and will revert to that again once this kettle dies. I bought the Morphy Richards toaster at the same time which was in Nov 08 and the toaster has always made horrible toast, the dials… Read more

extremely difficult to read and now it has stopped working - outside of warranty of course. The best toaster I ever had was the Sunbeam fully automatic pop up toaster and will buy one of those this time. I like a nice toast to be crispy outside but still a little soft on the inside, not like a rock! lol I liked the chrome and style of both, but toaster made horrible toast and kettle very noisy. Toaster was $62 and kettle $85...average I guess

OK – This was bought for us as a Christmas present a couple of years ago. It still works, but sits in a cupboard as a back-up for one single reason - the noise! This is easily the loudest kettle we've ever had, to the point where carrying a normal-volume conversation in the lounge room became a "Wait for the kettle to boil." thing. The kettle seemed… Read more

to be reasonably well made, though the lid would sometimes stick a bit and with the handle directly above it, means you could bump your hand into the handle and/or be exposed to some heat and steam when you take the lid off.

The imitation electronic whistle sounded pretty sorry, but this is a minor and personal thing.

If you like the looks and can handle the volume then I can say we had no reliability problems with it. Looks nice. The noise.

Terrible – It's noisy... But it does look nice. I will have to find the receipt. Very annoying that it has just stopped working. Looks great. After a mere 6 months, it has stopped working. Not impressed.

Excellent – I love this kettle! It has a very funky design and looks unreal in my kitchen! My biggest fear when buying a new kettle is the noise...but this one is so whisper quiet and has a neat (short) whistle as it boils and an instant cut off too. No messy cords, can be used by left or right handers with ease. Easy to fill and clean, it looks like a… Read more

ceramic material - very modern and has clean lines. Highly recommend this one! Lovely modern design available in 3 colours. On the more expensive side...but OK if you get to negotiate (like me!).

Excellent – We are thrilled with this kettle; one thing only I would add to it is a water level floating ball. Funky design; Great to pour, no-drip spout; Easy to fill into the spout, no need to take the lid off; VERY quiet; Finish is easy to clean; Handle great to grip and keeps hand away from steam; Good price:

Excellent – a nice looking kettle, very quiet compared to our old one, easy to hold and pour, you wont get a steam burn when pouring and lid fits nice and tight. easy to refill using spout or lid, easy cleaning, boils fast. doesn't leak as yet!! Our old kettle leaked all badly. fast, quiet, no steam burns, tight fitting lid, looks good.

OK – My experience with this kettle is very different from everyone elses. I found it extremely noisey and had to speak up when the kettle was boiling. Ours had a leak from the water level thing. We bought the toaster to match and they did look fantastic together and suited our kitchen, unfortunately we have had to replace them both as we were happy… Read more

with neither. Comfortable to use and easy to fill up, I used the spout to pour water into as it is of a generous size. Design is modern and looks great with the toaster. Noisey, surprised most said it was quiet.

Good – Very happy with purchase and would recommend it to friends. Looks good although its a little bit more expensive than most other kettles I looked at, Im glad I paid few extra dollars. Great shape and looks good on kitchen bench. I find it very quiet in comparison to other kettles and its easy to fill straight into the spout rather than having to… Read more

OK – This kettle is very noisy. For the whole boil process it just rumbles away. We needed to replace a 10 year old Linda plastic kettle which started to leak and when the two are boiling away at the same time, with the same amount of water filled, you can't hear the Linda due to the noise from the Morphy kettle. Also, after about 2 minutes the Morphy… Read more

finished boiling about 15 seconds quicker than the Linda, not much of an achievement for a modern and far more expensive kettle. We also found that our first Morphy kettle had a dust particle trapped under the paint work, right in the middle of the kettle and on the front, if you are right handed. We had it replaced only to find that the second kettle also had a dust particle trapped under the paint work, but this time in a less noticeable spot. For a kettle that has such a nice spray finish it is really disturbing to have these imperfections. We also don't like the fact that the base plate the kettle sits on is grey and the power cord is black. How difficult would it be to have a matching grey cord? My rating is 3 out 5. This rating is not a comparison to other kettles; it is a rating of my expectations of what I would expect from a modern higher end kettle. Most kettles only come in white or chrome and black, so it was good to be able to buy a kettle in a colour that actually suits our kitchen, which has beige tiles. If it wasn't for this we would have had a better chose of kettles and may have bought a different one. Noisy. Slow boiling. Quality of the paint work. Power cord does not match the base plate.
