Love it! – We asked for this as one of our wedding presents two years ago and haven't had a moment's trouble with it. My mother likes it so much I am buying her one for Christmas. I like the fact it glows blue and shows the water boiling away inside - cool design feature!

Auto cut off fails after 6 months – As others have stated, the lugs on the filter break easily causing the auto cut off to fail, which then makes the kettle unusable. This is after only 6 months of low volume use. This kettle was a Flybuys reward and they are happy to take it back and to send a replacement. Other than this issue, I have been quite happy with this kettle.

After sales service, hmm – I too have had my kettle replaced, twice! The store from which I purchased is now gone and I have written to Morphy Richards to see where I stand. I have been asked for my receipt for purchase, which I have told them that i have but it's 3 years old, the initial purchase, but the replacement is only about 15 months ago but I can't find the exchange docket. The kettle won't switch off as the little lugs that hold the filter broke so the filter piece must allow the pressure to build to get the kettle to turn off. Apart from that, I love the kettle, yes, it's a little heavy but it's a lovely kettle otherwise. I have not heard back from Morphy Richards, that is disappointing. Glass, colour, size. plastic internal pieces, not great on warranty.

great look – So many kettles........I like this. The groovy blue lights are entrancing. Large kettle. I wanted glass and tried another brand but had to return it. This one came with a metal look when switched off. Turn it on and its blue glowing lights with see through glass. Not the fastest boiling kettle. Noise is reasonable, that's the advantage of glass. It's a tad heavy. Comes with a 2yr warranty, which is brilliant. The base is logical, finally a base that can store the extra cord. So far from 3 expensive kettles I have found one that is pleasing to the eye as well as quiet. The metal look although its glass. The stunning blue light effect. The base that stores the extra cord. slower to boil. Expensive.
