Mountain Dew Energised No Sugar
2 reviews
Could drink this all day – By far my favourite drink, but hard to find on the shelf these days. I've always liked mountain dew, but since finding the no sugar variant, I drink nothing else. There's a noticeable difference in flavour between cans and bottles. I find it in cans to taste better. It takes some searching around to find it in cans tho. Woolworths don't always have stock, and I don't think I've seen it at Coles. The local IGA usually has some.
I'd prefer it had less caffeine (it's about double that of coke no sugar), but it's not a show stopper for me.
Careless Labelling – Just a heads up for those about to purchase the green coloured Mountain Dew "No Sugar". Unfortunately, due to the small labelling, the fact that it is "No Sugar" seems to overtake the other important fact that it is an energy drink....and it is an energy drink with 60mg of caffeine per can which is more than the black label Mountain Dew "energy" drink which has 56mg of caffeine. The catch is, that in giving this to children thinking it is a "No Sugar" soft drink (that isn't as harmful), it can cause unnecessary hyped-up behaviour due to the "energy" component that is almost insignificantly worded on the can. We have, sadly, experienced this first hand at a recent event, that even bar staff didn't recognise the can labelling. A good reminder to please check the fine print on these cans!!
