This is actually great for the vast majority of users with a mid-high end GPU that requires two 8-pin PCIE cables, since using two connectors from the same cable isn't great due to high power going through a single cable; using two cables that are 2x 8-pin is also not ideal because of the dangling ends; you can tie them back but it still doesn't look as clean.
