Accuracy ! – I have had the 600 & 650 both send me a round about route to sunshine coast , when I have entered fastest route . I fi were new to the area I would have been well & truly lost . I have been with Navman for quite a few years with various models & both of these are the worst . My Nav camera has been good throughout . I will be reviewing deferent models next time !John .

uselessl peice of electronic gear i have ever owned. Waste of good money compared to Tom Tom – I dislike the way it proceese's my information that i input. To slow to process. Cant keep up with my Courier work. Destinations all over the place. Not a patch on the Tom Tom. Would never buy this product again and further more would not recommend to my Mates. Show details

Bought two Navmans 560 and a 660. Both have significant problems. Never again!! – My partner and I have Navman 560LMT and a 660LMT. Both are rubbish. The 660 has jammed and will not move. The 560 tells me wildly incorrect speed limits eg 50k whenit's 100k. It tells me there are railway crossings ahead on a major tollway when there are none. It does not recognise significant landmarks and the auto screen background colour change… Read more

Navman issue with activating in car – I had my Navman for 3 years. Recently it just refuse to go into the main screen. unreliable, always freeze , very slow to catch signal – I have been using mY600 LMT for around 1.5 years, i like the display info, the routing option, etc, however it is always slow to receive signals, slow to start and sometimes i have to wait for a few mins before i can start using the device. Awful - and it was an upgrade provided for an even worse product – Received a MY600LMT in 2016 as a replacement for an earlier unit that failed DISMALLY under warranty. It is total crap. Interesting to note that Navman do not have the MY600 on their list of products. Is that because it is faulty and they would rather pretend it doesnt exist???

GREAT!!! – This GPS is better than the one I have in my car; instead of saying turn right at the next corner, it says turn right at the the service station etc. Maps are reliable and easy to update. Unfortunately the screen is small and the unit can only be mounted on the windscreen.  Show reply

Very poor contrast – Maps are quite OK, my only issue was the fact that it was almost impossible to read the display without sustained effort. Was initially happy to get the nice big screen, but finally returned it and got a Tom Tom. Now a happy camper. Might work well in some dash positions with some vehicles.

Terrible - battery in all three we have had exploded – All three (we bought them for 3 different cars, to save learning different things) have had the batteries explode, one has been under warranty. I think I will go to ACCC and require a replacement. Also the real time driver assist is rubbish, driving in 30 km/hr traffic in Brisbane CBD sends you in the wrong direction. Cheap and NASTY.

Without doubt the worst gps I have ever used. Unreliable and badly coded. Even the Chinese models are better and a lot cheaper.

I should have read Product Review before purchasing :-( – Having had a Navman for 10 years now which worked faultlessly I thought it would be a good time to update my device, especially since my maps were from the dark ages. news. Here we go on the bad bits. I was thinking that this new device should be lightning fast - no it's not, still very slow at accepting touch commands. When I stop in traffic it rotates the map 180 degrees so I can't see where I'm going. It tells me of every school crossing within 1 kilometre even if it's on roads I'm not travelling on. It excitedly advises me of railway crossings and speed cameras once I'm well past them, and when I get in the car to go for a drive the system starts up and then states that it'll be shutting down now - have a nice day. OMG. I'm not even going to mention that the battery lasts for around 5 minutes when power is lost. So to sum up: It's slow, it doesn't know where it's going, and it likes telling me about all the good things on roads you don't want to be on. I gave the Navman 1 Star because it has new maps. :-)

I agree... it's garbage – I agree with the other reviewers about the lag. 1. However what annoys me more and despite bringing it to the attention of the Navman facebook people, is the fact that the unit warns you about fixed speed cameras even though the speed camera has no chance of photographing you. For example, if there is a camera in a tunnel below you, it will warn… Read more

you. It is a totally unnecessary distraction.

2. in any kind of hot weather the suction bracket falls off, very inconvenient and dangerous defect.

3. After inputting the address you want, pressing the green tick, rather than proceeding, the device further asks you if you'd like to log the journey. Its like a maccas chick after a long order asking, "Do you want fries with that?" Not so annoying at a restaurant, but while you are trying to drive to a destination, it is another extra decision requiring your attention to press yet another button.

4. The voice recognition is very unreliable.

5. If you turn on the warning for speed checks, you receive one every time you leave a town regardless.

6. It does not have any ability to alert you to mobile speed cameras or likely radar locations etc.

7. Whilst its traffic alerts are good, it is useless at diverting you around a traffic event.

Overall I am very disappointed in my purchase and only today I was looking at new Tom Tom's.

More of the Same – The cradle mount holding the GPS to the windscreen is again the weakest link. Note the two thin arms holding the top of the unit. These arms are the poorest design, and break easily. They will only last about 6 months to one year depending on how many times you fit them to the windscreen. I strongly recommend that the company or the person… Read more

who designed this weak and ineffective cradle be counselled.

The best design was the original one as fitted to the MY80T and the MY85XLT for example. Those mounting brackets were strong and lasted as long as the GPS unit did.

Most Disappointing After MY60T – The rapid map refresh is much slower than can be reasonably expected, often becomes confused, one day took 10 minutes and never did come good. Speed often fluctuates 15-20 Klms in a second or two when maintaining consistent highway speed. Supposedly current Sydney maps are not accurate, indicated to cross Epping Highway when not allowed by… Read more

signage/curbing, indicates roads that do not exist i.e the back of Kings School when trying to get to Parramatta Lake.

Very frequently, sometimes persistently recalculates trip when the device has a clear view of the sky. Almost impossible to cancel a route and create a new one without switching the device off.

I own a MY60T and was happy with it so when the free mapping ran out after 3 years, I finally decided to buy another Navman. The lane merge signal is very distracting and uses an unnecessarily alarming sound. It can be muted but I haven't taken the time to work out how to do it. It seems to me that they have started to use lower grade electrical components.

The icons are more touch sensitive than my old one which is an improvement. Larger screen is a plus.

I intend to return it to the retailer.

Bluetooth mode is worse – if BT is on, it is impossible to use navigation. Too much lag. Rail track warning again and again and again even if I am going over the track from bridge. always showing longer way to back home. There was a roundabout three years ago. useless. Battery consumption is a disappointment. I asked myself now why would i bother buying a GPS like this when Navman will "ONLY guarantee" it will hold its charge for 20mins without a power supply. But even after the first use the battery couldn't even charge at all.

It told me i was on the wrong side of the road numerous times? The speed camera warning was just wonderful! "Speed Camera 0m ahead" - Like that's useful. And it would literally say "Zero meters ahead"! But i should've counted myself lucky because it would show the speed camera but just not say anything and a couple of times it would warn of a speed camera that i had just passed, but according to the device by i was now traveling towards it in the opposite direction???

The road i live on (that was in my last navman - MY400LMT) doesn't exist on the MY600LMT maps & i was apparently in the middle of a paddock. The only thing that worked was the GPS speed. Brightness of display linked to local GPS time was reversed so had to manually adjust. 5+ Minutes to load a favourites locations, sometimes i would have a full signal & yet the device "can not find a signal".

Never using Navman again!

Worst Sat Nav in history – Bought this GPS last Thursday's as was traveling and needed one ASAP, started of fine, paid $60.00 for esafety cam, started journey fine, slowly started noticing the lag, reached Warwick and sent us on a stretch of dirt road for about 20ks, never thought much of it, just got past Toowoomba and all the sudden it sent us on an old stretch of fire… Read more

Big lag and too many errors – I brought this to replace my old MY60 - which had worked fine for many years. The MY600 has so many problems it's hard to know where to start. I took used this on a 3 week road trip and really, really wished I'd brought my old GPS with me. The lag time is dreadful and in some areas was so bad I was missing turn offs into major country towns. … Read more

Around Albury the GPS kept freezing and when it did work it didn't keep up with my car.

Occasionally the safety features worked - but usually not. I had the safety settings for visual and audio alerts but received neither. Not a single red-light camera or speed camera alert, no speed check alert, no school zone, it told me once about a railway crossing and a couple of times about accident black spots. It did, however, tell me to merge right, left and centre within a distance of 500m on a single lane major road.

The device keeps wanting to go into sleep mode rather than switching off - so when I powered it back up without being plugged in it didn't have enough power to stay on. I had to do all the programming in the car while it was charging again. It's also not easy to get back to the menu screen once you have a trip in progress.

I am truly amazed that such a poorly functioning device made it onto the market. The unit would have had many worthwhile features - if it worked. Just hope JB HiFi will still let me return it when I get back home.

With almost no assistance from the GPS I got to work in MacLeod. When I finished work I put in my home address, got five minutes down the road, and a blank screen. No image and the unit seemed to restart itself, then blank, then restart. Turned unit off, and that is how it has stayed. No matter what I try it refuses to turn back on. Not bad - bloody worse. Horrible way to get into an accident – This is purely the worst GPS I have EVER owned. Problems: Power issues. Difficult and slow instructions 'in 100m take the left of the left two lanes... oh, too late, you're past the turn now... I'll just re-route you... this will take approximately 30 minutes... 30 minutes later it re-routes you and wants you to turn left immediately, oh, you… Read more

missed that turn too, hang on another 30 minutes and we'll rince repeat.

On one recent trip to Sydney, it had be 'veer to the right' with an angle of the turn being in the 20-30 degree range. It was a freaking right turn. I'm in an unfamiliar spot in Sydney (or I wouldn't have used it) and I'm searching for a damned street that isn't there... because it's a bloody right hand turn not a veer. Then on the same trip it tells me to do a right turn on one that WAS a veer. There is no consistency.

Warnings for redlight and speed cameras tell you about then when you are just aboutto pass them, and don't take into account banks of cameras. "there's a red, there's a red, there's a red, combination, there's a safety camera in... oh, stuff it, you just went past it".

The only 'good' thing this is for is as a means of monitoring your speed... but I can get the RTA ap for my phone that does it better.
