Neff U1644NO/01 - Fanforced (Circotherm Heating) elements Failures – The oven is over 10 years old, We replaced the the bottom large oven fanforced element in 2017 and after only 4 years it failed again. Also recently discovered that the top small oven fanforced (circotherm) half moon element had failed. This half moon element-spare part is longer available from Neff- no such replacement part exists. So now, no… Read more

fanforced/circotherm function for the top small oven. Very disappointing Neff. Do we now buy a new oven but not a Neff?

After Sales Service Awesome – Our 12 year old U1644NO finally gave up. We ordered a spare part from NEFF and had a electrician install it. Still no good. Rang Neff who told me to produce proof of purchase - which I did. They then told me my oven was faulty and they would replace it with a brand new oven. Best service ever  Show details ·  1

No repair service – Our oven doesn't work at all. We have to wait 9.5 days for a person to come on site as a service call and then they may arrive anytime in a 5 hours window. Product is out of warranty but even when you pay there is no service. This is very disappointing apart from the fact that we can't cook any meals in the oven for over a week.  Show details

No support – 7 year old 1644 not working . Spare part exhausted world wide . $3500 for 7years ? That's expensive baking. Very poor for such a brand . Cooks very well nice to use but ultimately let down by lack of support over the journey. Just wish neff could show some kind of support

Disappointment – We purchased a Neff double oven in 2008 as we thought we would upgrade after having a Westinghouse for 15 years & never had a problem with it!! We are now in the position of having to replace a part which costs over $800. The cost of this part represents approx 20% of the purchase price ($4,600) which we consider to be exorbitant.we have… Read more

contacted Neff Australia who have indicated that you need to expect this for a 6 year old oven. Apart from finding this attitude appalling, we would have expected that for the above price you are buying a premium product which would last longer than your mainstream Ovens (eg: Westinghouse, etc) which are 1/3 of the price.

Fabulous but check the size – I have had my Neff oven installed for about 6 months now. It is the best cooking oven I have ever had, the pyrolitic cleaning is amazing. The only issue I have is the size. I thought it looked small in the shop but the salesman assured me it was standard size, as in must be my imagination. Well it is small. The shelves are so close together… Read more

and I frequently cannot fit anything on a second shelf. Toady I tried to fit two small casseroles, but had to lower the top shelf to fit one and now have no room for the second. The top shelf for grilling seems either too close in top position and too far in the second.

Great cooking oven but impossible to clean even after three months – Suggests inferior materials and finishes as it is impossible to clean even after following the instructions. The oven was purchased in December 2014 and the cooking and controls are excellent. To keep this new oven presentable we clean inside after every cook but with little success. Suggest buyers be careful before purchasing Great for cooking Great cooking oven but impossible to clean even after three months.

Very disappointed – We purchased a neff oven and convection oven ( oven/microwave). We had it installed prior to Christmas 2013. It's now middle Feb 2014 and it has rust spots on both ovens. As we purchased from an overseas seller and can't seem to call neff direct can get no satisfaction . The appliances themselves are ok but after 2 months to see rust on what is… Read more

supposed to be a "high" quality product is less then satisfactory. I definitely WOULD NOT recommend this product to anyone, based on this problem. Seems it is a common occurrence from what I've read. Slide under oven door Rust, hard to operate and recipes supplied were in other languages but no English took 6 weeks to get an English recipe book

I love it! – I love my Neff. I've never been happier with an oven. The double oven allows for different foods requiring different temperatures to be cooked simultaneously. I like that it heats quickly and even the heat distribution makes cooking simple. Easy to clean too. Very simple to use once you've read the manual-as with any appliance these days.  Show reply

Too difficult – I should have researched this oven more thoroughly. Definitely too complicated for someone in my age bracket. I've been cooking beautifully all my life and now I find i'm stuck as I don't know how to use it properly. Ok I'm going for a lesson tomorrow. But should I need to have a lesson to use an oven? Me thinks not! Too complicated

Best oven I've ever had – Haven't had a failure yet - cooked everything from roasts to a heavy Christmas cake - all with excellent results. The Super Steam oven accessory was worth every cent - mainly use it for fish - no fishy odour and so moist and delicious. Telescopic tray; fantastic lighting; so easy to keep clean; having the door fold under the oven - fantastic in a… Read more ·  1

small kitchen It's too complicated to remove the door and clean between the glass panels - I've had to call a serviceman to do this. Also, the recipe books that came with the super steamer aren't written in English. After much pointless email with Sampford I gave up - but I'm sure I'm not getting as much out of the appliance because I don't have recipes to extend the possibilities of what I could use the steamer for.

Excellent – no regrets, probably the best oven i've ever cooked in.leaves my old electrolux oven for dead. all the racking can go in the dishwasher too, unlike miele. cooks beautifully, perfectly even. cleans good too.looks stunning. little bit expensive but still worth every penny

OK – While this oven is well made (german) I am disappointed overall because it is a little more complicated than expected and the service from the importer is virtually non existant. Purchased Neff overn & cooktop from Winnings Redfern and felt that the sales person, while well informed, had an agenda in selling this product (presonal… Read more

incentive/inducement) Now think that the AEG or Miele pyrolytic oven with a sperate steamer oven would have been a better choice - although the Miele was far more expensive and like the Neff appeared fairly complicated to programme. German. Looks good. Good selection of functions. Quality made Complicated to use. When batch baking on two or three shelves I find the cooking un-even, also find the programmed recipes difficult to use/understand and the instruction manual is difficult to understand. Can't get any assistance by calling the 1300 number in Melbourne either. Would ahve preferred a pyrolytic oven.

Excellent – Love it. love it love it. Prior to my neff I had an ilve (beautiful but unreliable)a miele (overrated) a blanco (rubbish) and a westinghouse (great, straightforward oven) and compared to all my other ovens this is an absolute winner and worth every cent. Great functionality, very very reliable and beautiful heat. You really can cook multiple… Read more ·  1

dishes in the oven at once without flavor transfer and fuss.

Love the double oven factor as I can prepare a whole dinner, a roast and a pavlova at once with ease.

I did SO much research and was a little limited as I wanted a wall oven that was a double but I couldn't be happier. I'm now a neff girl all the way.

the long term warrenty is wonderful, but a little concerned with all these people saying service is nowhere to be found when something does go wrong.......oh well have had it a year and its faultless so here's hoping it stays that way. Everything!

telescopic runners

the internal light is great

multiple functions mean there is a program for whatever you're cooking Hmmmmm not many.

Would be great to have a set of telescopic runners in both top and bottom oven rather than having to buy additional (esp when you've already forked out thousands)

When you use the program to turn off automatically once cooking is done it beeps until you manually go and hit the button.

Not a big deal, but when you're trying to cook for 16 and think it would be smart to set the oven so you can go to bed rather than hang around for the stew to finish. The constant beeping at 1am till you get up and turn it off is pretty annoying.

So tiny gripes.

Bad – Suggestion. If there is no service for what is a manufacturing fault (I doubt they all have rust) then send a letter of demand to them (see ACCC website for a sample letter). It can make them sit up & take notice. Probably a good oven when working Poor service

Excellent – A bit expensive at ~$4000 but it is certainly worth it. Both parts of the oven are used almost every day and they still look like new after 4 months. Very easy to clean. Very rapid heat up times. Looks good. Looks good. Well built. Heats up extremely quickly - we don't really preheat the oven like we used to. The standard fan forced mode will… Read more

heat up to 200C in just a few minutes, even quicker if you push the rapid heat button or set it to 'CircoTherm Intensive'.

The main oven allows you to check the current temperature while both ovens have indicator lights to let you know if they are still heating up.

Lighting is very bright and very effective (especially the NeffLight in the main oven).

Residual heat warning on the display.

Very easy to clean; the top oven is self cleaning, you just need to wipe down the bottom and the door. The main oven is self cleaning on the back however the sides are enamel, they are not self cleaning but it doesn't take much effort to clean them.

Comes with good number of trays and racks.

Lots of different functions and settings but still easy to use.

One of the best instruction manuals I have ever seen - complete with recipe book. Just a minor issue - when the timer is set, the oven does not display the current time.

It would also be handy if the main oven had the same self cleaning lining at the top oven.
