I went to the store to return the Air Conditioner as it wasn’t working and when I got there they were able to get it to work without any errors.
When packing it back into the box for me to take home they didn’t empty the water out of the unit and when they tilted it water went everywhere.
The Store Sales Manager declined and only offered their Display Model as they didn’t have any other units left.
The Store Sales Manager then emptied what was left of the water in the unit onto the floor and told the warehouse staff to wrap if up and walked to the front of the store.
The Air conditioning units plug as left sitting in a puddle of water and then put back into its box.

Great looking unit, works well.
Main reason for purchasing was to have a portable unit that I could control from any location. Unfortunately not 5G compatible and isn’t labelled as so.

1 Year update:
Cooling: 5 out of 5 - When compared to 3 other branded portable aircons I've used, this is hands down the best.
Noise: 4 out of 5 - not really that quiet but no portable aircons are really. If your watching TV, you will need to raise the volume. But its not so loud that you can't sleep (at least I can)
Durability: 5 out of 5 - (so far) just keep cleaning the filters when it tells you or do them early for longer life
Design: 5 out of 5 - looks great and moderately compact for a powerful 5.3kW Cooling power

Hi there, I am looking for a very, powerful portable air conditioner that’s can keep a 60 square meters, room cool and also has a self evaporative cooling system, also known as a automatic, draining system. So on really hot humid days or heatwaves, you don’t have to worry about emptying the water tank every three to twelve hours as the machine will do this automatically itself. Can you help me with this question please?Greg.
60 sqm is a fairly large room, I don't think any portable air conditioner would have sufficient power to keep a room that large cool (also depends on celling height) Olimpia Splendid AirPro does have ...
Read morea self evaporative cooling system so you won't need to worry about emptying any tanks, but they aren't that powerful for 60sqm. You'll need 2 of them for sure. Note a 5.4kw portable aircon would do a 40sqm room. So for a 60sqm room you need to look for something like a 7kw to 8kW which don't exist as a portable air con.Olimpia Splendid AirPro only goes as high as 3.5kW. So 2 of them would give you 7kW which may be enough.
Or have a look at Olimpia Splendid Procool 16 which has an output of 4.7kW (Good for a 40sqm to...

Update: Hotter season, and it seems to keep a medium sized bedroom room within desired temperature, happy!
Cons:...
Read moreOnce the unit reaches desired temperature, it will switch off the compressor but leave the fan running, which is normal. But what is not normal is when it needs to turn back on. It seems to get stuck in a loop thinking if it needs to turn on yet or not for about 30 seconds.. during that time the fan speed will increase and decrease over and over.. very very annoying and has woken us up many times. (My guess is the thermo stat is very sensitive and the on-board computer did not cater for this - might need a firmware update to fix, if there is such a thing on this unit.) EDIT: This issue seems to have fixed itself up, I've bought a second one and I'll get back if the problem also happens on the second.
