I really like this radio – this radio is very easy to use. is very compact size. is extremely easy to change batteries. I would definately purchase this product again. It takes a standard headphone jack. Uses 2 aaa batteries which last about 8 hours.I use rechargeable batteries.I use it whilst doing chores around the house and garden. Simple to use like all pocket Radios heavy on batteries

Good radio but – This looked like an excellent purchase until I had to start throwing batteries at it. Even NiFe need constant recharging, heavy duty AAAs will not get a look in. The current drain is 75mA, no wonder ! Of course you are not told this at the time of purchase but perhaps the retailer dosn't know. Does the job beautifully Needs too much graunt from the batteries

OXX Pocket Digital Radio – Very impressed with this tiny digital radio with it's long lasting AAA batteries purchased to accompany me on my dog walks replacing another similar sized brand that failed after a few days. The only thing I miss over the other one is a micro SD card slot for my music. It even came with Jays in ear buds which sound great and have a flat tangle free cord. Small size, easy to use, great sound

Update to my previous review – I just wanted to mention two minor issues that I discovered once I had been using my Oxx Pocket Radio for a while. Firstly, batteries only last 8 HOURS! This is way less than a regular radio. The instruction manual does point this out, apparently digital radios power through batteries, hence it is recommended that you use rechargable batteries in them. The other issue I discovered is that when the batteries run out, you get no warning, the radio just stops dead (unlike a regular radio which gradually loses reception as the batteries run out). I find this really annoying when the radio suddenly stops dead in the middle of something interesting that I am listening to on the radio, there is a mad frantic scramble for replacement batteries, so make sure you keep them handy! It's still a great little radio, you just need to adjust to the differences between analog and digital radios. Two AAA batteries will only last for 8 hours. The radio stops dead when the batteries run out, there is no warning.

I would be thrilled if my batteries lasted 8 Hrs.- 2 is the most I get. It also drops OUT all the time- sounds great but tooo expensive and annoying to use.
