Had the mower only 24hrs. Power cable got snagged when I folded up the handle bars in the middle and at Point the cable got caught and pinched. No longer working. The handles are so long its hard to store so thought id fold the handle bars for… Read more
space efficiency. Ended up breaking the darn thing. Big design flaw.
Shame as its otherwise great...well for the 24 hrs it lasted.
Swapped it for a ryobi so we'll see if that's any good.
Follow-up · In the end I replaced tbe ozito mower with an EGO lawn mower. The company had a demo day where you received a 15% voucher. In addition 2 separate promotions that gave you a leave power blower and also 5AH battery free ( with purchase of 55cm composite deck model) To avoid snagging the cable just take care and know that it can happen. Problem solving for metal clicking sound – I got a piece of metal in my ozito cylinder mower. Now it is making a loud clicking sound as the cylinder is hitting the cutting bar. Show details
NO SPARE PARTS AND NOT THE TRUTH IS BEING TOLD TO THE CUSTOMER !!!! – spare parts availability is the worst I have ever experienced from any manufacturer I have dealt with, you ring Ozito direct and confirm the part etc and told they have it in stock at their wharehouse, but you have to order it through Bunnings, fine I do that and they tell me it is on back order and it will take four weeks to arrive, and now after… Read more
being told on three separate times and 14 weeks after the original four weeks it will now be instore once again in mid to late june, and with all the rain and me wanting a replacement blade for my mower, I have had to hire a petrol on from the local hire shop, who's telling me the truth, get your act together Ozito, and deliver the parts which I have already paid for, service level is absolutely pathetic, and will not be buying anything Ozito in the future, which is a shame as I HAVE A NUMBER OF OZITO TOOLS, so when they need replacement or spare parts, I'M going to buy new Ryobi or Makita!!~!!
No replacement batteries – Low battery run time, does not compete my modest front yard and nature strip. I got sick of this so I tried to buy a back up battery from Bunnings so I did not have to wait another hour + to recharge it on my weekends off. I was told by the bored non friendly staff member at Bunnings that Ozito don't stock them anymore so I can't have one. Not… Read more
exactly sure of the date purchased but around 2 years ago.
This is not good enough, there should be laws against this.
Very disappointed in Ozito and Bunnings.
I feel totally ripped off!
Same battery problem – After only four years my Ozito electric lawn mower is now useless as the battery won't charge and a replacement battery is no longer available for purchase off the shelf from Bunnings. To order in a new battery would cost almost as much as purchasing a brand new mower (of a later model) Show details
Better than expected – Purchased this recently. I was bit suspicious as it was significantly cheaper than other similar products. I have a small lawn and this works perfectly fine. Used only couple of times and quite happy so far. Very easy to use and light weight. With 5 year warranty, I think it is worth the price... Show details
Love it – Love how it glides over the grass bit if grass gets caught in the blade it switches off. You need to remove whatever stopped it. I rather this than fumes blowing in my face. It's light to push . Has great battery life about 30 mins. My neighbour is jealous lol Show details
Does the job perfectly – Cuts for up to an hour, we get the back & front done, and the nature strip also if we're quick, then a quick 1-2 hour charge and front is done also. Does longer grass also up to 1 foot, but you need to go in slower. I'd highly recommend for any general household with normal sized block. Large block would need 2 batteries. Show details
Okay if you only need to mow for 10 minutes – This mower is lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. However battery only lasted 35 minutes initially before needing recharging. I only mow a medium size backyard once every three weeks and it should take me 40 minutes tops. After a year the mower battery lasts 10 minutes if I’m lucky and mowing my lawn takes most of the day as I have to recharge battery for an hour to get another 10 minutes. It’s going in the bin. perfect for a small garden – Electric lawn mowers are just perfect for my small garden and nature strip. With no petrol to buy and store, batteries are so convenient. I mow the lawn for just 15 minutes and my batteries still have power left. The mower may appear to have flimsy parts and toy-ish switches but its does the job well. But don't buy one if you have a big garden. Show details
Light and easy to use. Great – Great to use. Light weight. Folds up easy. Just need a second battery as it can lose charge before you can complete a full yard. Otherwise great mower. I like it and highly recommend. Yes yes yes good good good a bit pricey though. Bunning is where I got mine. Show details
Its OK, but not great – For the price, it is almost worth it. Almost. I bought one of these in 2016. My first hassle was the catcher. it comes in 2 halves, and lets just say, it sucked getting them together. My mower then crapped out, so I exchanged it (not catcher tho, wasn't going thru that again) but the next unit wasn't great, so I went to refund. There was a special… Read more
on the Ryobi mower, so I paid another $50 and got that. It is great, but that's another review.
In conclusion, if you can't afford $150-200 more for the Ryobi, this is still an OK unit for small to medium lawns. I wouldn't guess at battery life, but I would suggest topping it up each month even if not using it.
Good Mower – This mower is very easy to use, cuts as good as my petrol mower. It can do 5 Height settings and its light weight makes it very easy to maneuver. I was quoted $187 from Bunnings for a new battery. My battery is now dead, but when operational use to give me a run time of about 45 minutes. Show details

It costs too much – Purchased one and half year back and now battery gone. Went to Bunnings and they do not have 36 V battery anymore in the shelf. When asked to replace new I got $140. I was not told that battery will not be in their shelf after a year. Now they they have to do special order and price is unbelievable. Did not realise that Bunnings can play such a trick to customers. Ozito is one of the worst and Bunnings play with the customers.. Show details
Battery is the issue – The mower purchased some years back works well. Agree with other comment that battery does not operate as well and does less lawn with time. The fact that Bunnings owns Ozito is a real issue as you can never speak with someone at Ozito (three tries to do so) and that there is no room to move on the very high replacement price nor does anyone make… Read more
a generic battery (if anyone knows different please advise me).
Good product ruined by poor communication and no empathy for purchasers of their Ozito products
Dead battery – Has anyone actually purchased a new battery from Bunnings. I read a post on this forum which stated a cost of $140. Two separate Bunnings stores have quoted me $238. They are charging only $275 for a new, later model mower with battery and charger. Someone at Ozito (or Bunnings) should have a gun and a horse.
I hope Bunnings do not go bankrupt.! – For all those with battery problems, check out the Ozito powerxchange, (ozito has been taken over by Einhell a quality German major manufacturer!.), Have bought just about the whole range of add on tools, 5 year warr on tools, 3 year on batteries with replacement, not repair!, the lawn mower needs 2, 18v batteries from the powerxchange system,… Read more
comes with a whipper snipper in the box for the same price as a single mower,"Crazy!". I have been frustrated by Aldi, Bunnings and all other tool manufactures who purposely charge to much and change the type of batteries, to make a quick quid!, anyway this innovation should serve me for many years, Murray Smith. PS. Keep your receipts!.
Dud battery – As other reviewers - fantastic for first 12 months now battery will not hold charge and is useless. Too expensive to replace - almost cheaper to hire someone to mow my lawn! Hopefully the new LML-136 model has addressed this issue but it seems to have the same battery which is the problem here.
Battery lasts for a year only – Battery was excellent at the beginning. Then required more of charges for mowing the same piece of land. After 15 months battery died completely. Warranty for battery is one year, though the mower has 2 years.
Great out of the box - battery died on the day the warranty expired – Previous review was spot on - "Absolutely loved this mower, light and easy to push, that was until the battery decided to no long hold any charge (just after 12 months)." - it was a great mower when first purchased as I could do the whole yard in one pass. Now it is three charges which, given charging time, means I am mowing all weekend.
Battery issues – Absolutely loved this mower, light and easy to push, that was until the battery decided to no long hold any charge (just after 12 months).
Spoilt by dud battery – I have had 2 mowers and both battery's died shortly after warranty period (12months) expired. ozito just said to replace them, but at about $140 each I expect a much longer battery life.

Very happy – Had my battery operated mower for a month now, and love it. I look forward to cutting the grass. I think you do need to change your habits, though, I don't let the grass get too long and don't cut it too short. If the grass is longer and wet, it will labour and stop, unable to cope. It is lovely and light, and I expect 30 mins cutting time before… Read more
the battery dies, so I hurry up and do it quickly - good exercise. I had a problem with the battery and/or charger initially, but Bunnings were great, swapping it twice with no problems. My daughter's mower broke, so I put this one in the car a lot more easily than a petrol mower, and did her buffalo grass no problem, much to our surprise. I have gone over stones without it breaking. I think it is excellent for older people and ladies and fun for teenagers, and ideal for small lots. easy to start, light and not messy. battery problem when first bought, lowest cutting level is quite high
Exceeded my expectations! – Very light so I can lift and move around cars in the garage and/or over steps. Easy to use and stop/restart. Battery life fine for my lawn (approx 300m2) - only lasted half an hour first charge but longer after that (hasn't run out before finish cutting lawn since first time). Light, easy to use. Comes with catcher. More expensive than I expected. An extra lower cutting level would be good as a regular mower can cut a bit lower.
A woman can use this with no problems! – Prior to doing research about what kind of lawn mower we should get (petrol, battery, electric), I was under the assumption that only petrol lawn mowers were suitable for large lawns (as this is what the guy from bunnings told me!) How I was proven wrong by the ozito lml036 model (battery powered). We were looking for a low maintenance… Read more · 1
(preferably zero maintenance) lawn mower that could mow a sizeable lawn ie. approximately 150sqm. This particular model claims to be able to mow 400sqm in one battery charge.
After reading reviews about this model we decided to purchase it from bunnings for $399 which would be mid-range in terms of price. Couldn't find any other stores that stocked this model.
It's relatively quiet and so easy to assemble together. No problems starting the machine as it's just the press of a button and off you go. It is rather plastic and made in china, but it still does the job pretty well.
So far, I've mowed the lawn twice and the battery is still revving up to full potential as the advice on the manual will tell you that you will need to charge the battery a few times to get it to full potential.
The drawn back is the 40L catch which may or may not be standard... But it fills up very quickly!! I did about 240L on about 150sqm of lawn (although our lawn was pretty thick and in dire need of a cut).
Best part about this model is that a woman can use it no problems. Easy to start, easy to handle, easy to tell when the catch is full, easy to charge the battery, zero maintenance - too easy! Couldn't be happier with this purchase and would definitely recommend this! Easy to assemble, easy to start, no on going maintenance 40L catch, found myself emptying it quite often
Great mower – I have about 600m2 of lawn and was a bit hesitant on a battery mower at first but after reading reviews thought I'd give it a go. Initially it was taking me 4 charges to do front and back but after a few charge/drain cycles the battery life has matured and I'm now able to get them done in 2. It is a big yard for this size battery so I'll just… Read more
purchase additional battery.
Mower itself is great. Nice and light and reasonably quiet. The catcher could be bigger though I suppose its sized the battery and target lawn size. Over all I'd buy it again and highly recommend it for a smaller yard. Reasonably quiet and light Battery life could be better, or ship with 2. Though the battery is probably spot on for target lawn size.
Great Mower for the whole family – Hi, I'm GC and this is my review of the Ozito LML-036 lithium ion lawn mower. Some people may want to buy this mower to reduce there carbon footprint and if that's your reason then good on you for saving the planet, mine was to simplify the weekly chore lawn mowing. for example I no longer need to go to the petrol station ever time… Read more
I Mow,
I don't need to throw my back trying to get the bloody thing started.
its light and easy enough to use that my kids will give me hand cutting the grass (if i can get them off their Xbox's).
Like most new conventional petrol mowers it has adjustable cutting height, a engine stop leaver for safety, and a 40L catcher.
overall I'm very happy with this lawn mower its powerful robust and easy to use.
hears some footage of the mower in action.

Perfect for our needs – After reading the reviews below we decided that the Ozito LML 036 was what we needed. It is brilliant for our front strip ... nearly 100 square metres. The battery is a two handed job but very easy for me. The catcher is beaut and dandy and doesn't feel light or easy to collapse. So much lighter to use and now I don't need to use the heavy clunky petrol lawn mower. Light weight easy to use All good so far Show reply
Happily surprised – I thought that I would try a cordless mower as my petrol mower has seen better days and is laborious in having to try and start it with the pull cord. I was quite surprised as I got the box off the shelf as to the weight. It is very light weight. I tried it on my wet, long grass and it was great. It chopped it down with ease. My daughter actually… Read more
wanted to take over because it was so much easier to use than the old, heavy petrol mower. It lasted longer than I expected on the first go but I guess that should improve over time.
Like the other reviewer, I agree with the strange way, although not complicated way of removing the battery but this is not really an issue.
The only detraction is the catcher which seems to be a bit dodgy with not staying together all that well. Light weight, very easy to use, lasted longer than expected. Cut grass very well Catcher seems very junkie to the point it does not stay together, bit fiddly for the battery to be removed
Lightweight and maneuverable – I've had this mower for a couple of months now and am pleased with it. This is my first time with a battery mower and I was initially concerned about run time and power. Those things turned out to be true to a degree but not so much that it's a problem. It takes about 3 charges to do my whole lawn, front and back but, in practice, that's not a… Read more · 1
big issue. The motor slows on thick/long/wet grass, in which case I just slow down a bit or lift the cutting height.
Those things are more than offset by the convenience though. There's little effort involved - just shove the battery in, push the button and you're off. No smoke or yanking on starter cords. It's relatively light and easy to push. It's not as quiet as a corded mower but better than a petrol. I fair dinkum enjoy mowing with this thing, feeling a slight disappointment when there's no more grass left to mow. That's not something I ever expected to say!
Minor quibbles are that removing the battery is curiously elaborate, requiring 4 motions, though none are difficult. It also blows the grass right on your feet if you don't use the grass catcher. One great feature is that there's a solid handle on the body, close to the centre of gravity. It sounds almost too minor to mention but a lot of appliances don't have such a thing and it really helps with moving it around.
Build quality seems reasonable. It's mostly plastic but that seems to be the norm for electric mowers and it makes it light. The plastic seems to be ok quality and I don't see any particular reason to anticipate problems. All in all I like this mower the best of any I've had. :ight, convenient
