Detail Sands as described – I have an Ozito multi-tool that seems to do what this thing is aimed at anyway, save obviously smaller coverage in a given time. I just wanted a little more flexibility/spare/something to also use whilst the multi-tool is doing something else. It was not worth paying much for one as I can easily get away without it by hand if necessary / the Ozito multi-tool does so well anyway. I am just talking DIY and seldom.

Sub $40 this thing was a no brainer on price and it works. The expected wider arc than my multi-tool would make detailing that bit easier but the multi-tool is more than fine anyway, and there is no discernable difference in result to my eye.

It comes with a few 120 and 240 grit sandpapers as standard. This is generous I felt and if you need more after time (check my findings please) Diablo seem exact for replacements and come pre set up to also sit on my 93mm multi-tool pad).

Does what it says on the tin at a daft price. New to me so no clue on longevity but 5 yr instore replacement warranty I don't care either.

Only negatives are:

1. The multi is already so good for what I have used it for this adds nothing to the end result. I have used it for sanding back various paints to key for new coats / some hard woodwork and soft woodwork, but nothing that most would term fine woodworking using above 180 grit for lacquer/oil based finishes. I find 120 is plenty for paint/varnishes I use anyway.

2. Unlike at least most other tools (incl the multi-tool) the sander sheet pad is a special order, so if you do damage it then expect to pay around $22 and have a "short" wait. Over twice the price of similar items that are regular stock (e.g. their orbital sander pads/multi-tool pads)

5 stars seemed too generous with these negative aspects in mind but at the price 4 stars all the way, IMO.
