A good small size circular saw – I agree with Benjamin, this is a surprisingly useful tool. Cuts very clean on both edges, and no kick-back. One modification I have made (and no doubt kissed my warranty goodbye) is about blade lubrication. I decided that dabbing wax on the blade tips is a waste of time, it just spins off. I drilled a 5mm hole near the centre of the outer blade, and use a small plastic bottle to squirt a little oil in between the blades, every few minutes of cutting. (I admit drilling through the saw blade is a challenge, but the ARTU drill-anything bit makes short work of it.) Anyway, with blade-to-blade lubrication properly sorted, it works well for me. So I give four stars to Ozito for a good tool, plus one extra for myself.

Don't know why the reviews are bad, but it gets the job done – I've been doing a decent renovation on my home, needed something to cut through steel nails / colourbond steel / timber (hardwood and oregon) / vinyl cladding. Seemingly so, it gets the job done, was quite surprised especially when my circular saw is struggling at certain times whilst cutting hard wood. it cuts through it like butter. steel problem? Cut a cast iron pipes with ease. (gutters + colourbond sheets.

I think the biggest issue thus far would be the need for the wax stick, stopping periodically to squeeze wax was a little bit of a chore, especially when you've got a rhythm going.

Poor design – Terrible product. I bought it because I thought it would be easier to handle than a circular when working overhead. The 'inner' blade stopped spinning about 6 cm into a simple cut of a pine stud. The 2 pins which drive the inner blade in the retro direction are too short to properly engage in the blade. Ozito says that's normal and instructed me to replace the blades - about $30.00! The tool itself cost $69. I do not intend to buy new blades for every 6 cm of cut! The tool is useless.

Not worth the money or the customer service junk from Ozito – The first unit that I purchased would not perform a plunge cut which is one of the basic functions that this tool claims to do well. The saw would cut a "V" shaped groove when cutting a piece of wood. I called and spoke to a member of Ozito customer service team who suggested that I return the item to Bunnings for an exchange. I picked up the exchange unit and when I tried it out I had the same issue. There is no information in the instructions or trouble shooting as to what may cause these issues. As such I returned this unit yet again and asked for a refund.

In the meantime I wrote to Ozito and asked them why I should still consider their brand, expecting an honest answer. Thier response to me basically told me that the 3 year replacment warranty is what speaks for the performance of their products and brand! I queried this as I do not wish to buy a product just to keep returning because it won't work over a period of 3 years!

I am a home user and I have purchased and used many Ozito branded tools in the past and can state that generally they have presented good value for money performance however this last experience has altered my impression of the brand permanently and I would not recommend Ozito to anyone at all considering their customer service people's attitude to the brand.

Not good enough Ozito, your brand is what you should protect at all costs!!!

Did not work and Ozito don't really seem to care!! Bas customer service

The blade guard melted – use the product on a hot day and the plastic blade guard melted. First symptom was that the device slowed down, I removed the blades and could not see anything. reassembled and continued and the same problem occurred. On closer examination the plastic guard was soft through the heat and deformed. This product does not stand up to Australian climate. a waste of money and dangerous. Price Guard melted

I agree, not a suitable product and Ozito don't seem to care much about their brand reputation, yes it has a 3 year warranty and what's the point if it doesn't work????
