It is alm9st impossible to contact this company for support. Their unit keeps dropping out. I spent ages to try & get a login. When I finally succeeded, it took them almost 2 weeks to get back to me...with a response that didn't help. I wanted to ask another question, but the password saved on my iPhone didn't work. When I did the 'Forgot my… Read more
password' thing, they said they sent an email to my email address.. Never arrived. In a desperate attempt I tried replying to their previous response, but I received an automated response that the ticket was closed and I had to submit a new ticket, after logging on...
Not good Parkmate! Mates help!
Piece of crap RVK-50 – My parkmate reversing camera is a piece of crap. I mounted the camera got in the car to check it needed adjusting got out lifted the camera up and the bracket that holds it snapped. After emailing the company twice with no reply I decided to buy another bracket you cant the camera is fixed to it and they want $40 for another one. Monitor is almost impossible to se on a sunny day, I gave it 1 star because they dont have no stars
Parkmate Products – It is best not to waste your time and money with Parkmate, there is no after sales service whatsoever with their products and the products themselves are not really worth investing in. All things considered in my experience, best to go elsewhere, leave them to the rubbish heap.
Great value for money. Getting one for my wife – Picked up latest model from Autoban on special. I actually replaced the factory mirror on my Koleos, so no bulkiness. Takes a bit to get used to, however, I am so much more comfortable when I'm reversing. Love the fact that it records front and back. Reverse gridlines are okay. Show details
Don’t waste time/money – If I could give no stars, I would. Worst camera ever. The remote was terrible and faulty and the replacement remote also faulty. Camera stopped recording and any contact with company went silent. Any contact with sister companies when trying to fix issues went silent. Avoid this company and product. Terrible I felt so used and disrespected . The… Read more
product never worked the way it was supposed to, even the follow ups with the company went silent. Worst company ever.
Cheap and reliable – One of the cheapest reverse cams on the market, relatively easy to install for a wired camera. A great addition to the car. I put one on my previous 4wd and toured Oz for 12 months...it never missed a beat. Great value. It has capabilities of adding an additional camera which can be handy.
Such a helpful little device – I love this. The video quality is very crisp and also the clips for securing the mirror / camera to the pre-installed rear view mirror is sturdy. The entire device doesn't shift around nor wobble when I'm driving or going through a bumpy road. Also, for the quality and its features, this one is fairly cheap compared to the other similar devices that I found.
A great addition to your car – I bought this camera and screen and it was professionally installed. A lot of research was done into different products and park mate is one of the few camera on the market that are 170 degree angle without loss of clarity of picture. I also purchased a Parkmate CDD28KN HD Colour Camera with it, The only gripe I have, is glare on the camera causes it to be harder to see objects. This is a common issue with this mirror based camera setup.
Best thing since sliced bread.... Except when it is over 26 degrees – I really like the screen and the camera angle is awesome too. The problem I have is that as soon as it is warm outside the camera progressively gets worse with temperature. It becomes pixelated (fuzzy) at say 25 degrees C ambient, but gradually gets worse with heat. If it is 29 deg plus, forget about it, it will flash a black and white screen. It… Read more
has nothing to do with being parked in the sun either, as the car can be in our well insulated garage at 23 degrees it will work until you reverse out in the driveway at a hotter temp and instantly gets blurry/distorted. I asked at shop that fitted the unit yesterday and the told me I should just buy a new one.... What the. .. what
Works great very clear – Fitted this to my wife's car and she loves it, I think they must have changed the clips on the mirror as they hold great, no chance of coming off. I consider this a good system and well worth the money $148 at JB HI-FI other places including ebay were asking up to $179.
Clip on Mirror can't handle the heat – The Parkmate system with the clip on mirror (clips onto your existing mirror) is not up to Australian conditions. The rubber clips that hold the mirror onto your existing mirror melt when the car is parked out in the sun (which mine isn't that often) so the mirror slides forward and requires you to hold it back on with your hand to use the rear… Read more
vision mirror when driving or strap it on tight with a rubber band or cable ties (which defeats the purpose of spending so much on a system).
Reversing camera and mirror itself is fine but a bit of thought needs to go into the practicality of the mounting. The mirror is quite large too so it takes up a lot of your forward vision.
parkmate hd 4.3'' – No good. Won't loop when the memory card is full and when it gets hot it goes white. I went to ask for help directly from the distributor and the lady at in reception basically told me to get annoyed as they don't want nothing to do with you once you paid for the product. Don't get sucked in to buying it.
Parkmate MCPK43B – Don't like it at all when parked outside it cuts out when it gets hot so totally useless in Queensland What else can I say would not buy it again and not recommend to any body only when I would not like them Can't believe Repco would sell something like that Good screen cuts out when parked out side in the sun even for only half a hour
