This rearview camera has a very clever design for easy installation – I wanted this for a camper trailer and was very unsure if it would work on the open road. As we were traveling through the area where the camera is… Read more

sold in Qld we contacted the vendors and dropped in, We were given a demonstration of the camera and we bought it on the spot. Very good price too

It was very easy to set up and met what we needed, that is a reversing camera for reversing and also a camera we could turn on from time to time when driving to know wast was behind us. Great help from the seller when needed.

It is alm9st impossible to contact this company for support. Their unit keeps dropping out. I spent ages to try & get a login. When I finally… Read more

succeeded, it took them almost 2 weeks to get back to me...with a response that didn't help. I wanted to ask another question, but the password saved on my iPhone didn't work. When I did the 'Forgot my password' thing, they said they sent an email to my email address.. Never arrived. In a desperate attempt I tried replying to their previous response, but I received an automated response that the ticket was closed and I had to submit a new ticket, after logging on...

Not good Parkmate! Mates help!

low end level reversing camera – Wired in the camera according to instructions on a 1973 dodge phoenix only to find a blue screen with limited options.l connected the camera earth… Read more

contrary to the instructions and the system operated well. This however changed once the motor was running. The image became fuzzy. My next option is to place a suppressor on the positive power source in, to cancel out charging frequency generated by the alternator.Rf frequency cause by the distributor and coil may also need suppression. The sticky pad on the monitor mount when mounted horizontally on a clean surface lacked adhesion after a short period of time.

Great for the price – I purchased this product from Repco for $39.99 on sale and for the price it is rather impressive. The screen for a lower end screen is 3.5 inch… Read more

screen is clear and easy to see.

I decided to install it myself in my old Toyota Corolla and have to say the install was a breeze, no soldering required.

Pros:

Low buy in cost

Screen clarity good for the price.

Easy install

No fish bowl effect from the camera

Cons:

No distance to object lines in the camera

Glare on the camera (common problem with even my expensive after market camera).

Instructions are a little too simple and the scotch locks are a lower quality.

intermittently came on we're there then gone, the screen keeps going black. The video connector to the screen had a broken wire inside and whoever assembled it must have been having a bad day. Save your money and just turn your head to look behind. Just rubbish.

incredibly blinding. If only it had an anti-glare feature, there would be no need to consider any other reverse camera options.

Disappointing Experience with Parkmate RVK-50SW – Not Worth the Money I purchased the Parkmate RVK-50SW wireless reverse camera around two years… Read more

ago, primarily to monitor the towball and caravan hitch during occasional trips. In that time, it has only been used for four short vacations — the tow vehicle stays garaged and is rarely driven apart from these trips.

Despite this light use, the unit has already failed. It is now out of warranty, and when I contacted the Australian distributor, they provided a few reset suggestions. Some didn’t apply to my situation, and the rest failed to resolve the issue.

It’s extremely disappointing that a product with decent reviews at the time of purchase has turned out to be so unreliable. For the price paid, I expected a dependable system that would last well beyond a handful of uses.

I strongly urge potential buyers to think twice before investing in the RVK-50SW. It simply hasn’t lived up to expectations, and in my opinion, it’s not worth the money. There are better, more durable options out there.

I recently purchased the GATOR GX5HDKT 5' reversing camera kit, but the installation instructions were too difficult and not detailed enough, so I… Read more

contacted the company and asked for an installation video and was told that they could not help me anymore and that I should go to a professional shop. The reason I asked for the video is because there are a lot of videos on youtube about how to install a reversing camera for different models made by the company. The model I bought is still on sale and I am at a loss for words with the company's response. I think there is something wrong with the way this company deals with customers and I would never recommend them.
