Disappointing Experience with Parkmate RVK-50SW – Not Worth the Money I purchased the Parkmate RVK-50SW wireless reverse camera around two years ago, primarily to monitor the towball and caravan hitch during occasional trips. In that time, it has only been used for four short vacations — the tow vehicle stays garaged and is rarely driven apart from these trips.

Despite this light use, the unit has already failed. It is now out of warranty, and when I contacted the Australian distributor, they provided a few reset suggestions. Some didn’t apply to my situation, and the rest failed to resolve the issue.

It’s extremely disappointing that a product with decent reviews at the time of purchase has turned out to be so unreliable. For the price paid, I expected a dependable system that would last well beyond a handful of uses.

I strongly urge potential buyers to think twice before investing in the RVK-50SW. It simply hasn’t lived up to expectations, and in my opinion, it’s not worth the money. There are better, more durable options out there.
