Patriot Campers X3 – The Patriot Campers X3 model was released in mid-2020 with much anticipation following its debut as Camper Trailer of the Year winner in its category. Our X3 was ordered in March 2020 and delivered in mid August, making it one of the first production models to hit the market. Other than a couple of niggling quality issues the camper has met our expectation for a capable off road trailer best suited to a couple or solo overlander. Strengths include: - tow anywhere your vehicle can get to - high spec electrical system (300AH + Redarc TVMS) and plenty of water (130l) - relatively quick setup/packup - great in bad weather - compact size when closed Weaknesses include: - fragile awning system - weight of the hard top when opening/closing - space saver spare tyre under chassis, rather than full size spare - build quality issues that should have been picked up pre-delivery - side-opening can make it tight in some campgrounds made for rear/front opening campers
