Un-usable & customer service pathetic – After a few months has become unusable . Issues are: * Brown material forming in bottom, even after I've cleaned it thoroughly several times with citric acid. * The brown material smells horrible/burnt and my baby will not accept bottles that have been sterilised in it. *Leaks water sometimes even when following instructions - alarming for… Read more

an electrical appliance

*Top blue handle fell off within a week.

When I contacted the customer service team they advised I should clean weekly, and scrub after each use. Extremely impractical & ridiculous advice for a new mum. Seriously, it would be easier for me to boil the bottles on the stove the old fashioned way. This item is meant to help new mums, not add to their workload.

Customer service clearly know about these issues, as they had a pre-formatted sheet addressing the rigorous cleaning schedule. If they expect this level of cleaning it should be made clear, as I'm sure new mums are not thinking this will be the case.

Will be following up with the ACCC to see if this constitutes false advertising. Poorly designed product and terrible customer service.

Works Great, sometimes once, sometimes 3 times. Don't buy it.Trust me you will waste more money – I have gone through 6 of these and under Australian Consumer Law getting them replaced before 30 days. They have consistently stopped working. One lasted 2 days and the rest averaged 5 days. Apparently there is a huge problem with all of the Australian Models. Maybe because when they are built in Turkey they don't have 240V to test them or maybe… Read more

the specs of the Thermostat / Resistors that they use for the one button are not rated. What ever the reason is I am disgusted with this product. Bad design or bad construction is a problem for Philips not me.

My Dog made a better product than this in the back yard this morning and all I gave him was $2 of dog food,, not over $140 of my cash

Unfortunately I had to rate it much higher than deserved as there is not a minus five stars on p review

Expensive product. Cheap parts. Terrible design – This steriliser is terrible. The main issue I have with it is that I spent over $100 and got a product that rusts daily! I can't believe that it doesn't have a stainless steel heating element at the base! It's clearly an expensive product made with cheap parts. The horrible build up on the heated base is unavoidable, we've tried washing the… Read more

bottles thoroughly, drying the entire unit after each use & even using filtered water but each day I have to spend precious time scrubbing the gunk off the element. Plus it's impossible to get right into the corners, so there is always some that infects the bottles & makes them smell bad, and discolours the bottom of the baskets.

I also now suspect that my babies gassy belly issues may be caused by this terrible build up, so I've been using my dishwasher on hygiene setting instead, rendering this product totally useless to me.

The other problem is the terrible design of the baskets, enabling water to constantly drip down, leaving a lovely puddle on the bench each time you use it. I am constantly wiping down the bench around the machine.

I wouldn't recommend this product at all.

Prefer the old design / extra work having to descale every couple of days – We decide to upgrade at the last minute, should have kept the old one in hindsight and should have done my research like read product review! Whilst it was designed to take up less counter space, you actually have to pull it apart to put bottles in and take them out. And it does spill water everywhere. I prefer the old round model, which also… Read more

had a 24 hr mode.

The main annoying thing is the scale build up.... It's created extra work for me having to descale every couple of days and with a clingy baby I don't have 2 minutes spare so it's frustrating to have to wipe it down each use and descale every couple of days. The look and smell of the scale is very off putting, and it discolours the White trays and bottle and makes the bottles smell. For that reason I don't recommend it.

Terrible Design - Bring back IQ – This is my second steriliser, and it is horrbie. Poor design and poor performance and dangerous too. I had an Avent IQ steriliser and loved it to bits, it lived with me for 2 and a half years and I got it from a friend second hand, so it was quite old. It was great, with the arival of newborn my husband wanted to replace it and since we had so… Read more

much trust into avent products ( my IQ warmer, bottles etc.).

I have nothing positive that I can say about this steriliser. Poor design, does not matter how much or how little I fill it with water my bench is always wet. I do tip it out each time i refill it, it is condensation that gets traped in the shallow sides of the steriliser.

I descale the steriliser at least once a week, scale does not bother me but the steriliser smells if I leave it.

To take the bottles out you need to pull it apart and my bench and I keep on getting covered with water.

It is expensive and dissapointing and not worth the money that we paid for it. Really waste of money.

I want the design of IQ and the electronic screen back and 24 hr mode, this is cheap and nasty for about the same price. Well thanks for ripping me off AVENT. It does it job, however rather inconvenient to use Poor design and really difficult to use. Not worth the money it costs.

Is this unit on fire!!! – Since the day I recieved this I plugged it in, read the instructions & placed cold boiled water to avoid any limescale build up! But guess what, it happened on the first day, a noticeable brown spotting on the water compartment tray along with distinct burning smell! Poorly manufactured product considering Avent is a quality branding! I don't even… Read more
