Super razor

I wanted a razor which cuts pretty close to the skin with little chance of cutting my face and this one fits the bill perfectly. I use it to trim around my beard. It is great for getting awesome edges. It takes me about 1 minute with Philips One Blade. No cuts. No foam or gel required. Can see where I'm shaving. I love it.

Not quite what I expected

I bought this after seeing overseas reviews. It promised a good shave without cuts, and most importantly for me, no shaving bumps. Apparently electric shavers cause bumps. This product cuts close to the skin, but not as close as a blade or electric shaver. Therefore there is less skin irritation. Replacement blades are a bit pricey too, I got a twin pack as well. Bought everything from my local Shaver Shop. The salesperson did explain that this won't produce a really close shave, and is intended to be used every other day, not daily. I'm trying various methods, such as wet shaving, shaving with foam, dry shaving, and shaving with oil. It's not super close, I can still feel stubble after using this, but hopefully it will eliminate my numerous shaving bumps. The shaver was $79, the blades were $39 for a twin pack or $25 for one.

Thanks for taking the time to reflect on your user experience a bit, Kameleon. We'll pass your feedback on to our product team. It's true that the OneBlade isn't as optimal for a close daily shave as our dedicated face shavers would be. If you'd like to discuss your experience further, please don't hesitate to contact us on social media or on 1300 363 391. Kind regards, The Philips Australia Team

Best close shave electronic razor?

No. It's not designed for a close shave. I've tried, spent ages, tbe best I could achieve was an acceptable look, which became stubble after a few hours. In my experience electric razors cannot achieve a consistent, close shave, it's just marketing hype. I've gone old school recently, the new old safety razo. Less ingrown hairs, less irritation, far cheaper, blades are a few cents. It's just a bit scary, not the kind of task you want to be performing when you're not quite awake. The Philips One Blade is quick and convenient, great if you're in a hurry and don't want a perfect close shave.Hi there, thanks for sharing your experience with us. We're sorry to hear that you haven't been able to achieve the result you were looking for. As you might know, the OneBlade isn't designed for a clean shave. We recommend dedicated Philips Face Shavers for that. You can read more about it right here: https://www.philips.com.au/c-f/XC000002900/my-philips-oneblade-does-not-shave-as-close-as-i-expected.
