If I can give PoF a zero rating, I would . Without any rhyme or reason, I was suddenly banned. They cited that I violated their Terms of Use. I wasn’t even that active to begin with because I find that there are too many scammers on the platform and it was very time consuming to weed these scammers out. When I asked them for the reason, they… Read more
refused to share. I have read reviews in other sites and there were many who were also being banned without being given any reasons.
POF should be renamed POW Plenty of Whales... or maybe From Fish to Sea Lions. My experience with POF has been terrible. A lot of profiles use photos that look like they were taken 5–10 years ago and don't reflect what the person actually looks like today. If you're going to use a dating app, at least be honest with your photos. Another thing… Read more
I noticed is the number of profiles where people proudly describe themselves as "loyal" while also saying they have two or three kids from previous relationshipS! Loyalty is something you demonstrate through your actions, not something you simply write in your bio.
The fake profiles are another huge problem. There are the classic "jailbait" style accounts, profiles that immediately try to move you to telegram, people promoting adult services, and accounts that appear to use stolen photos. I've reported several of them, yet many remain active.
The app also seems designed to lure you into buying a membership. Before I subscribed, I was constantly getting notifications about likes and profile views. As soon as I paid for a membership, those notifications almost disappeared. Whether that's coincidence or not, it certainly felt misleading.
And the subscription isn't even the end of it. You're continually pushed to buy add ons like First Contact messages, Super Likes, Profile Boosts, and other paid extras. It feels like every feature exists to squeeze more money out of users rather than help them meet genuine people
Overall, POF feels more like a monetisation platform than a dating app. Poor moderation, misleading profiles, fake accounts, endless upselling, and tactics that seem designed to pressure users into paying.
I won't be renewing my membership.
Disgusting site with awful human beings and POF is a corrupt, greedy business taking advantage and trying to scam money from you at every chance possible for an awful service, not to be trusted with your information at all, and guilty of hypocrisy! AVOID Show details

If I could give this company a 0 star I would. I went to reactive my account after 6 month after finally after 12 emails back and forth I find out they deleted my account! An account I have had since before 2018. They made me answer so many questions to say “yeah na it’s deleted and can’t be reactivated sorry here’s a link to register” When I… Read more
put my account on pause in June! What is even the point of putting your account on pause when they are just going to delete it. No explanation nothing! I even sent them the photo to prove “I was taking a break” as I sent this to my now ex but to show him I was not online anymore when we were together
WOW, WHAT A SCAM, I purchased Premium 1 year membership with all the standard features, as I read the T&C, checked what I am purchasing, I was happy with the T&C and what was on offer. I start using the site, and tried contacting some women that were appealing to me, but the system would not let me correspond, and continued to ask me to upgrade my… Read more
membership to the next level if I want to see the emails from who is corresponding with me , and also, I can only contact one person per day, which is the same as free membership. They offered a product which I read about before I purchased, then the POF company reduced and blocked the services and are demanding that I choose now a different level of membership which is more expensive and with options to pay as I go. I contacted them thru 3 emails, and they refuse to acknowledge my purchase and continue to push their other more expensive offers which have the ability to connect with others like I signed up for in the first place. I did send them the Terms and Condition of the membership purchased by they refuse totally to acknowledge what their T&C are, and are repeating the same rubbish to me to purchase a higher level membership, and refusing to acknowledge my 12 month membership. How ever I don't trust them, based on this purchase, they will probably scam up some other ways, to pay for other services as they already started hinting what else I can purchase from them. See pic below with T&C yet they mean nothing to them. They block what they choose to block, use pictures of people that don't exist, Once I paid for my membership, I went looking for the woman that were there before the membership, and none to be found....
POF IS A SCAM....
OHHH and then they ask me if someone is offering me a reword to write the review.... They use any tactic to make one feel inadequate.... Our Governments should step in and force this company to obey what they sell, or jail the owners.
I will try and get my money back from them thru Internet Shriff.

Trash site – Full of scammers. prostitutes looking for business and fake profiles set up by POF. Unlike a lot of the other reviews, I did actually meet someone, she tried to extort money out of me which in turn I reported her to the police. The real ladies are trash just like this site.
Dont pay!! – Signed up... Paid for extras, once payment went through, asked to verify my account which I did and got a badge, then the next day asked to verify again, which I did then the next hour asked to verify again so I messaged help and said something is wrong so instead of fixing it, they banned me. I appealed the ban and a automatic message just says… Read more
we will not re new your ban you have violated our terms... The only thing I did wrong was message them and ask for help, which they Instead took my money and banned me. except me for what I am. At first POF was alot of the same. Chat, chat, chat, phone calls, text, and maybe a meet but it was always some immature girl looking to get out of a situation. Then when I was close to just accepting that I lost the window for finding the women I was meant to be with. A women clicked the like button and it was an instant connection. Now in my experience too good to be true usually is so I was apprehensive. But after laying out who I was there was no doubt she could only want one thing from a relationship with me..Me.I now know I am in love with this beautiful women and I am pretty sure she feels the same. I couldn't have made a more perfect women for myself. Now is she perfect? God no she has faults but she wears them proudly and it only makes her shine brighter. I don't know where the road of my life is giloing but as long as she is riding with me Im not afraid. I can't be more pleased with my experience with POF. All I can say to the other fishermen and women is to is to be honest about who you are, what you want, and what your intentions are and maybe just maybe you can catch someone as amazing as I did.
VERY GOOD DATING SITE – I would like to compliment the site as I have found it exceptional overall. They continue to send me several match possibilities and I have found the ladies to be decent and intelligent and Genuine. Keep up the good work. Actually...It works for some – Hello people. I'm suspecting that it's mainly the people who have failed for one reason or another that are leaving reviews for POF here. Because I'm still happily with my girlfriend after 20 months and we are likely to get married. I have friends who are together longer than us and met on POF also. I'm not saying there isn't bots...Just saying… Read more
that there are real caring people on there. You can see them in the chat rooms. I also had my share of psychos, catfishing, and ghosting...That's just people nowdays. My advice is don't get jaded. Don't aim too high..If they are levels above you in looks then likely they are genetically attracted to similar beauty and not much below. You can't really attract them much with your personality on there as many are talking to them and it's mainly about the photos as you know at least initially anyway. The pursuit of perfection or near perfection is the problem. Don't forget that we are all human. Honestly. It can work. Just be upbeat and honest. If you look different to your photos then they will resent the deception. Present yourself well but not with filters. Lower your expectations and be patient. The good ones are not on POF for long. They begin relationships. Anyway. Honestly it can work. Remember you are kinda fishing and need to get good at it. Good luck.

So glad i got off this site, nothing ever changed as the same ol women still dominate, i got sick of the mindgames with these washed up bottom feeder females acting like their God's gift to men when all in all their just narcissistic blame shifting types that can never do wrong and always play the victim and if you don't like it they'll report you… Read more
as in seeking vengeance, now as for the mob running POF you're safe if you have t*ts and a p***y as they protect the carrot (Female) and banish the donkey (Male), avoid this psychological scrapheap of human misery, too many men compared to women and most of the women are mental cases only on there for a chat and to stroke their ego's, waste of time and money.

Oh POF downhill fast! Makes dating hard now any age person can contact or "Like" you. Hard to sort 100's of likes to find a few people in your age bracket with 1 or 2 similar interests. Still no good. Best to stay clear of this dating website. You might find a friend here but not a real relationship. Go elsewhere like the local pub or a singles group. This website is just like an art Gallery just for viewing. Nothing more. And it will cost you. Show details

When I looked at the photos and aesthetics of the app, it appeared to be a cool app which might appeal to people similar to me. After I paid and was able to see the people I was quite taken back. inactive or suspicious. Many profiles also seem to be years old and no longer active.
When I raised these concerns with customer support, I received generic template responses that did not address the actual issue.
For a paid service, I expected a much higher standard of profile quality and moderation. Unfortunately the platform currently feels flooded with inactive or questionable accounts, which makes the experience frustrating and largely ineffective.
Because of this, I have cancelled my subscription and closed my account.

Probably the most annoying thing about this app other than the fake profiles is the fact that there are so many ladies that haven't been online for at least six months, so it is clear that they have either given up, found somebody or just too lazy to cancel their subscription.
