Amazing Staff and customer service at DandenongWe recently went looking for new lounges, after seeing so many different stores and types we were so lucky to walk into Plush at Dandenong and be greeted by Jamie. She was amazing to deal with and yes we found the perfect lounges but the most talked about aspect of the store was the customer service and how different and above they are to anywhere else.
We had to check measurements and colours and when we returned to instore this time with kids in tow, Sandra was just as amazing to deal with.

Recent sofa purchaseWent to the preston store and was served by sales staff member Jacinta. Both my partner and I have shopped with plush before where we purchased a sofa for my parents and was served by Tanya.
We only went into the store to get some ideas and we’re in no means ready to purchase. We only requested & wanted a spec sheet (not a quote) and simply to look at fabric options.
After some back and fourth discussions around configurations, Jacinta returns with a quote and asks for personal details...!!!

Not discuss price at that stage. It all felt very very pushy by her. We left the store and felt extremely uneasy and unsettled. After a couple of days we decided to go to the Highpoint store as we were in that area to see the sofa again. The sales staff was lovely, we told them the story, but left only to go home and discuss our options again. There was no pushing to sell.. The sofa is $5k so we wanted to make sure 100% before buying. I called the Preston store shortly after and asked to speak with Jacinta. She apparently had two days off so I was advised by some lady who I didn’t quite get her name to call back on Friday when she returned because she was the only one who could process the order? Is this because of commission? It all just felt very pushy and unprofessional in my opinion! So I called back on the Friday and because I was at work, whilst speaking to Jacinta she was only too eager to get the sale over the phone. I told her that I’d have to get her to buzz me back in a minute because I had someone calling me. Literally... 1 minute later, she called straight back and said, I’m ready now... do you have the card details?! Asking her to call me back in 1 minute was a figure of speech... again, she was really pushy and very keen to get the sale - not professional in my opinion! I work in customer service too and I would never be so pushy with my customers... it’s a lot of money at the end of the day and she should have been more empathetic and respectful in the dealings. We loved the sofa that much that I let this slide and she processed the transaction over the phone. To top this off, I was overcharged $285 for an extra recliner which she clearly made a mistake and soon rectified - this never happened in my first experience with Tanya. I only wished that when we first walked into the Preston store, Tanya was there to attend to us. She was amazing in the last sale, very relaxed, very professional, empathetic and extremely courteous and respectful. If, and only if we ever come back to Plush, I only want to be served by Tanya. No one else.

Never againProduct delivered not the same quality as the one in the shop. Our sofa was missing wooden legs, had a sloping seat and frame collapsed in 2months. Bad after-sale customer service. Never again will I buy Plush.
Beautiful to look at .. and envelops my body .. love this sofaPurchased this sofa 10 months ago to replace another sofa we had for 30 years !
Used every day and have found the sofa to be well constructed and quite luxurious feel.. we purchased it in the upgraded leather, given the fact we dont change our sofa often ! This was well worth the extra cost for long term peace of mind.
The ONLY criticism i would have is the lack of effective lower back support when sitting for a few hours .. remedied by a pillow but maybe a consideration for others. Make sure you try it out in the showroom and be conscious of the level of support you feel in this critical area of comfort.

Service callWe had a small problem with our recliner which after phoning Plush Preston was directed to call Customer service. Within 24 hrs we had a call from Corey re an appointment and he was here the next day at the time specified. He was able to fix the problem in a very short time and in a very professional manner.
New Store at Myaree with down to earth serviceBy luck we happened to find Plush in Myaree. Never heard of them before.
Went to a few shops today to look for a new lounge suite but we were not impressed with the choice and quality until we stumbled into Plush on their first day of opening.
I dont like the pushy type of sales person so I was prepared.
Christy was so down to earth and so helpful and with a no push approach.
We spent some time in whether a fabric preferred by my wife and leather for me.
I compromised with pumice fabric.Looks Great in the store.

Can anyone comment on the need for paying extra for leather protection? My quote includes an extra $350 for protection. Shouldn't the leather be good enough to stand up to regular wear and tear without this extra? Any input appreciated.

Hello there, i read your reviews about the Carlton couch. We are looking to purchase them but after visiting 3 stores, the first two being really happy with. we found the couch in the 3rd store to be sinking on the side close to the arms. The shop said that it just was not put together right, but now we have concerns about the seats sinking! Just wondering how you are finding yours?

Yes, Tracey, I agree with Ken and Colleen. All Plush people we have spoken with (and I think the care booklets mention this, too) counsel sitting in the middle of the cushion and letting it mould its... Read moreelf over time. They say to avoid sitting to the side because this will encourage the seat to mould inappropriately. We are finding that this is quite OK (lovely and roomy, gently softening to shape, can reach buttons) and have found, additionally, that a suitable cushion alongside the arm of the King sofa makes for quite a comfortable two-tiered armrest. All personal preference, of course. We are happy for the seats to take on our particular contours in good time and eventually become our special places.
