I started subscribing, but on the same day cancelled and requested a refund. Now, best part of a month later and several requests, I am still waiting to see the refund. If they claim to be a reputable and professional organisation then I have news for them. Beware of dealing with them.

Lifetime license is a SCAM. I bought a" lifetime" license a few years ago but now they claim my license is "expired" and now want me to pay subscription. AFTER YOU SCAMMED ME I WILL NEVER PAY YOU ONE MORE CENT, NEVER RECOMMEND YOUR BUSINESS AND WILL NEVER TRUST ANY VPN "LIFETIME" LICENSE AGAIN.

Similar to other people's review, PureVPN did not REFUND new subscription payments. (Yearly plan) Their excuse was that it was not in their policy to do so and it is limited to the first payment only. I requested them to show me where in their policy it states this claim and they could NOT show it, and still denied the refund. 1.) Their T&C DOES… Read more

NOT explicitly state that refunds are for the FIRST TIME payment only. In fact they call out that it applies to ALL SUBSCRIPTION PLANS Everything is subscription based so this means that refunds should apply, otherwise why even put this statement in. (My assumption is to lure customers into the false pretense as this is only logical reason) 2.) They did not notify of up coming renewal! Most other companies with subscriptions do this as they are open and transparent. This is another blatant attempt to trick customers as they can charge you without your knowledge (they can even charge your expired CC: if renewed by the same bank) 3.) No receipt of payment made. I discovered the payment when my bank reported the transaction as fraud. If the bank is reporting it as fraud, there is no doubt that many others have had this problem and reported them.

Terrible practice for an organisation. Avoid this company and their service and don't be tricked and save yourself the hassle and your hard earned dollars.

Rubbish company now. I purchased their service 3.5 years ago at a promotional price for 3.5 years and thought it's a one-off payment. Last week I were charged for US$54.95 from them without any notice, even not letting me know the price change. I was shocked and contacted their customer service to ask for refund. But in 10+ round of… Read more

meaningless discussion in email, their support just inisists it's their company policy. Even when I point out that on their website they state "we will notify you via email before being charged" they just ignore it.

Avoid PureVPN if you not yet purchase and if you are alredy a member, cancel the auto-renewal if that's not your intension.

Not the service it used to be!!! Don't do it – I have been a PureVPN customer for years and their service has slowly, then more rapidly declined, dropping servers around the world, plus their ability to deliver Geolocation viewing has decreased and just keep adding new services with great costs to give you what you purchased in the first place. Then when you complain via their live chat the… Read more

Scammers – I signed up for the trial. The VPN did NOT work at all. I couldn't load any webpages at all on any country I tried. Then when I went to cancel before my trial was up there was no where to cancel! They only give you a cancel button after the trial ends but by that point they've charged you! What a scam

I have been a customer for decades and recently renewed for another 10 years. This is because not only is PureVPN a good product, they also provide superb customer support whenever I had issues. Excellent customer service, not sure about the product – Although the vpn did not work for me, they did offer to troubleshoot the issue I was having. When I said it was no longer useful they agreed to cancel my subscription and gave me a refund

Pleased I have persevered with it...working really well at last – I have used Pure VPN for at least the last 3 years, and have been through many updates in that time. The latest version is working really well, with fastest download speeds to date, reliable connection, no drop outs, and very easy to use. Really good price as well. Very satisfied.

PureVPN sent repeated marketing emails after I opted out. I asked multiple times to be removed from their mailing. They confirmed each time. The emails continued. Purevpn autorenewed my plan against my will and not reimburse Purevpn autorenewed my plan while I did not receive any notification prior to the renew. It is illegal in EU, the company have to inform one month before the renewal. Besides, the same day PayPal took money from me, I told Purevpn support that I want cancellation and reimbursement but… Read more

PureVPN charged me over €400 in three separate payments for a 36-month renewal I never agreed to. I received no prior notice, no price update, and no reminder before this excessive charge was made. In my account, the subscription is still shown as €2.03 per month, which makes this amount completely unjustifiable. I contacted customer support… Read more

This is not a trustworthy service. I’ve initiated a chargeback through my payment provider and would strongly advise others to avoid PureVPN altogether. If you have any doubt, Just scroll though the subreddit /PureVPNcom.

The worst connection, and they don't allow refunds for auto-renewals. They are scammers that don't give a damn to their customers. Stay away from this terrible company.

Hopeless customer service. They provided the same answer every time as if they were programmed. Good luck with refund policy. The auto renew function was default you wouldn't know it until your card was charged. They never send you a reminder or warning before taking money out of your card.

Massive decline in quality – I have been using Pure VPN since about 2014. The service was great and easy to use the app both locally and overseas. Absolutely the worst company to deal with – Constant agressive marketing after telling them I wanted to cancel the subscription. I told them within 1 hour I wished to cancel. Absolute Disaster - Avoid PureVPN at All Costs – PureVPN is, without a doubt, the worst VPN service I’ve ever used. From the moment I signed up, it was nothing but frustration. The connection drops constantly, making it impossible to stream anything without interruptions. When it does stay connected, the speeds are so slow that even basic web browsing feels like I’m back in the dial-up days. … Read more

Their customer service is an absolute joke. It took ages to get a response, and when they finally did, they were unhelpful and dismissive. They couldn’t solve any of my issues, and their so-called ‘24/7 support’ is more like ‘whenever we feel like it’. The app is frequently riddled with bugs and crashes, and the user interface is outdated and unintuitive.

To make matters worse, the refund policy is misleading. Despite their claims of a ‘no questions asked’ refund guarantee, they made it extremely difficult to get my money back, and I had to jump through countless hoops.

Overall, PureVPN is a complete waste of money. It’s unreliable and slow, and their customer service is atrocious. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. PureVPN should be avoided at all costs.

Bloatware that does not work – I have used PureVPN for about 6 yrs now. In the early days it was s simple bit of software that worked. It has morphed into useless bloatware over the years. They want your money by any means – I researched several VPNs and PureVPN had good reviews and they stated that they have PPTP servers. Let me explain that as my router has no OpenVPN client (only L2TP and PPTP), this PPTP server was a requirement. When I went to connect using their router guide for my model it did not work. I contacted "support" many ways and many times, and their… Read more

only solution was for me to use OpenVPN as PPTP was too old. They seemed to not understand that this was not possible (or maybe they assumed I would be fine buying a new $150 router in order to use their service). It is day 2 now, and they still will not process my refund. They just pass me from one Customer Service rep to another.

Avoid going anywhere near PureVPN. Has not honoured commitments re cashback with ShopBack – I signed up due to substantial cash back offered via ShopBack. I am meant to be receiving almost $200 after purchasing PureVPN's services via ShopBack but this cashback has not been delivered in over 3 months. Many users are reporting this issue on a popular discussion forum but it's still not resolved. I would avoid using purevpn. I don't consider it to be fast or a good service and customer service has been non existent to me.

I've Used Much Better – I paid for 24 months upfront without trialling the VPN first. That was a mistake. It's borderline too slow to stream anything with. I bought it to access content from other countries through streaming services, but it's sometimes unable to buffer content or takes an incredibly ling time to load. I've also had issues with trying to connect to… Read more

countries where the app will say I'm connected, but an IP address search will say I'm in a completely different country to the one I'm "connected to". I tried many different servers in Egypt and every time I was "connected", my IP address showed that the server was actually based in Netherlands. This made it impossible for me to access Egyptian content.

I think if you're not using it for streaming, it's probably a good VPN. However, not being able to use it for the one thing I bought it for makes it useless to me. I'll be switching back to Surfshark with over 22 months left that I've already paid for.

Got charged for a month VPN trial and it stopped working after 1 week – Got charged for a one month subscription service. My account was debited and then after a week it stopped working saying that I hadn’t paid the invoice. Lucky I didn’t pay for an annual subscription. Zero customer support.

Rubbish. The application is useless – Edit: app seems to be improving, but still lots of ads for extra services and no way to just close the unstable connection dialog box. Like seriously, please give us the option. We know our connection is bad. Original comment: Is extremely slow to launch and constantly crashes, which completely disconnects you until you terminate the process. Avoid.

you literally cannot cancel – you literally cannot cancel. i found out immediately that the service did not work for me, immediately tried to cancel. there is no option to cancel anywhere, even if you google it, it gives instructions to click on things that do not exist on their website. you have to go thru chat (the chat is a bot only), and you tell the bot you want to cancel and they do not cancel, then proceed to bill you for a years worth of service.
