Total Care Flea Shampoo Questions

Hey I just wanted to ask if "Purina Total Care Dog Shampoo Flea Control 350ml" at Woolworths is the same product as the one mentioned here? I noticed it says the product was discontinued at the top and the bottle looks slightly different, but the name is almost identical, so I'm worried that it's the same.

Hi Daniel, I'm not sure, but the active ingredients in the bottle I had are listed as: 2g/L Permethrin 25/75 10g/L Piperonyl butoxide 8g/L Melaleuca oil I'm assuming it's one of these ingredients that is the problem, but I'm not sure which. Purina might have changed the formula so maybe check if these ingredients are still listed

was given a bottle of this and used it on my 10 yr old maltese --in the past I use only human shampoos and conditioners -and never had a problem with any dogs I have had for about 45 yrs -first time I used Purina total care flea control on my maltese recently she became very upset --I put it down to shampoo feeling cold --then 2 weeks later used it again and she cried and I knew something was wrong --a few days later I noticed she had extreme dandruff -peeling skin on her back right where I had poured the shampoo onto her back ----ie IT BURNT HER --
