Smelly, litter spreads every where. Poor Chinese interface. Still requires once a week emptying Trying to return the product post poor reviews, had to clean it to resale status which is impossible. Show details
Worked well for 2.5 months bought for my son who has a disability and has a support cat. Randomly the waste filter started coming off this occurred several times which in turn caused the waste to spill out of the box and onto the floor I contacted customer support who went back and forth with me over 10 days as I provided photos a video and an… Read more
explanation to be told I was using the wrong litter ( which I wasn’t) and that did I want to continue to trouble shoot which I declined as the reality was they were just waiting for my to get tired and give up I will contacting the Australian Consumer Commission for advice my son paid $600 ( from His pension)for a product that only worked properly for 3 months

3 out of my 5 cats use it and my cat nephew also uses it when he comes for sleepovers. It is easy to use, Saves me time on cleaning but it does take longer to give it a thorough clean. One of my cats digs to the middle of the earth and sometimes unhooks the tray liner so the litter spills out on rotation but he is a big cat. Even with these cons,… Read more
I highly recommend the purr-pod smart litter box. There is no smell and it sits in the laundry. The mat which collects litter is easy to empty the litter and clean it. I use chandler soft Australian attapulgite clay which is recyclable and works well in the machine.
Don't do it. Just don't. This product is terrible and their after-sales "support" will run you in circles and claim *everything* is out of warranty. There's a paper tag inside the litter box to show the min and max levels. They tell you to hose out the litter box once a month. If that paper tag comes off, which it *always* will, they say it's out… Read more
of warranty. Minor scratches from cleaning? Out of warranty.
But, even beyond that, it just doesn't work. Now, when auto cleaning, it tells me every couple of seconds that my cat has gone to the toilet. Even when the litter barrel is fully upside down. This thing just sucks and the only thing as bad is the customer service.
What a difference in our household. We're lucky enough to have an inquisitive cat, and he actually stepped in whilst we were setting it up, and used it as soon as we put litter in. There's no more odour from cat poo, the extra time and saved energy from the no-scoop life is put into playing with him, and the complementary mat has reduced litter… Read more
tracking immensely. My only reservations the ease of putting litter in (as the litter we use comes in a box, so perhaps a funnel can be included in the future), and we haven't had to clean it yet, so not sure how straight forward that will be. The ability to track our cats usage and weight also gives us peace of mind, and an easy way to manage his food quantities.
If you’re after a device that negates the need to manually scoop, bag and deordourise then Purr-Pod Smart litterbox is the device for you! These are the tasks that I loathed to do. Not being a “cat person” the first thing that I noticed about Haldor, a British Shorthair, was the distinctive odour of the litterbox and I didn’t find the weekly task… Read more
of replacing the used litter all that enjoyable.
Haldor had a large litterbox in which I used a bin liner, about 4~6 kilos of litter, and deodouriser all at a significant cost. I was doing some online research to see what was available and I came across an advertisement for the “Purr-Pod”, Initailly I thought that it was a bit expensive but after a few days of use, I was so impressed with the auto cleaning and deodorising that the cost was forgotten. Haldor took to it without any hesitation and I think that he enjoys a waste free litterbox on each usage!
The build of the Purr Pod is excellent, it’s easy to keep clean and using the nominated app provides me with a wealth of information. All the waste material is held in a self contained drawstring plastic waste bag and requires replacing between 13~15 days.
The Purr-Pod Team respond very quickly to enquires and provided excellent service. If you’re thinking of buying a Purr-Pod litterbox I can strongly recommend its purchase from the Purr-Pod Team. Thanks guys your product has made a huge difference it having a cat for a pet. Bill F.
Expensive but works well My cat happily took to the litter box and it seems to be working well so far. I've set it up on my Kogan (which is a tuya clone) app because it appears to be the same as their generic unbranded unit. I wish I'd known about the Kogan one first because it's way cheaper. But I'm happy with the unit itself. This does however make me question the authenticity of the "Australian" company. Show details
It’s a life changer. Honestly, saves so much more time in my life. Doing litter everyday compared to changing a bag once a week? I just regret not getting on the auto box sooner. I have three babies and two litter boxes but only one is the purr pod, and that’s the one they favour. Finding the right litter is key and once you have , it’s all rainbows and happy cats. 2 of our 3 adult cats use this without issue - one cat is scared of the noise - our foster kittens are curious and love to play in there - sue to being little and not the recommended age or weight to use it - the sensors don’t pick them up (thankfully)… easy to pull apart and clean. In a purr-fect world - it would be quieter - very loud middle of the night - but there is a function to turn off cleaning during night time Show details

Took them five weeks to ship it. Sent standard post rather than express as explicitly stated on website. Turns out the product is a TI Pro with their own label on it, can be bought for about $200. Massive scam thought I was supporting an Australian made product
Follow-up · Terrible, they refused to refund it unless the original packaging was in perfect condition. You literally have to rip the box open because they staple it dozens of times. Disgraceful scam company
Horrific. 6months in the machine began to be faulty, spilling soiled cat litter through the machine and all over the floor. Customer service has been abysmal. They required a video of the soiled cat litter spilling over the floor to do anything… Read more
about it, and two months ago they said they’d send me a replacement silicon liner, as the extent of their action, and it has not turned up. Spend your money elsewhere.
Follow-up · The machine’s motor now fails to turn the drum when litter is within the range markers, the company refuses to refund. I’ve sent them a video and they just request more videos to avoid refund. They also delete all negative reviews. Very unethical company, stay away!!!
Positive reviews
The pod is great makes life much more easier, the app could do with some touch ups like turning off telling you when it is used and having the ability to tell you when its half full and three quarters full....as i don't need to be told when my three cats are using it while I'm at work lol...but love the smart litter box Show details

Our fussy cats took to the pod immediately. The best buy ever - so clean, quiet, and the deodoriser really eliminates those nasty smells. Very happy with the product. Show details

Negative reviews
Very disappointed. We tried to cancel our order within 24 hours and they never replied. Then when they did reply we kept getting emails trying to convince us to keep it. Before they proceed with the refund. We still haven't received confirmation that they will refund even after multiple emails saying we didn't want it shipped and can they just cancel the order.
Terrible Customer Service. Their website promises refund within 90 days and to contact their Support team via email to start the process. Initially when I contacted their team, despite multiple requests to commence refund process, the continued to request that I try additional strategies to assist my cat in using their product (which the cat… Read more
refused to use). I had already tried their recommended strategies, which I advised their team, however they were adamant I needed to give it more time. After giving more time, I then emailed their team again to request to commence the refund process. Despite multiple emails, I have not received a single response from their team. This seems to be consistent with other reviews I have read. I would not recommend Purrpod based on very poor customer service.
Terrible after sales support. The silicon floor is not staying in place as cats are scratching and catch side tab and dislodge floor. Litter then goes outside drum and on floor leaving a mess. Support from thus company has been slow and poor. They said after 6 months the floor was not under warranty and suffered wear and tear after 6 months and… Read more
$700 later???? It’s not wear and tear, it’s poor design. After advising and sending video they said they would replace the floor. Still waiting.

Game Changer for Cat Owners I bought the PURPod about 20 days ago and honestly wish I’d bought it sooner. I have two young cats and we all love it. Setup was incredibly easy — quick, simple, and completely stress-free. It’s been such an easy solution for daily litter management and has made life so much easier. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fuss-free kitty solution. Show details
SCAM! STOP! Do not order from Purr Pod. This is from Bunnings, just with a higher cost. It will take 2 months to come and the quality is very bad, the customer service is even worse, almost non existent. Buy at a reputable place to Bunnings or a pet store instead. If you want a refund, forget about it. I’m still waiting for mine.
If I could give a minus 10. I would have. Ordered June 2nd and now it’s 9 July and every excuse from this company with shipment to now them telling me my credit card company is to give me a refund. I have now taken further action against this company (company based in QLD - Australian website. ) as they are misleading consumers when it says 4-7… Read more
days for delivery. Delivery for a product I still do not have. So many negative comments on product reviews sites. They don’t care. They take your money and you don’t get your order. Customer service is nil. As at 6 October - I never got the product and got a refund from my Credit Card Company
This is the adwin litter box they sell at Bunnings for half the price. This company buys it repackages and charges double. I have the one adwin from Bunnings And it’s the exact same down to the app and everything.

I wish I had of purchased the Purr Pod years ago. It's easy to set up. No more unsavoury smells and scooping. After long hours of being absent from home, I can now relax and not tend to the litter box. In my experience, I found tofu cat litter the best as it seems to last longer, no dust, absorbs better and doesn't track through the house.… Read more
Emptying and replacing the bag is quick and easy. The app is an accurate way of monitoring my cats toilet habits and weight so I can be aware of any likely health issues.
While I'm happy not to be scooping poo or clumping urine-soaked kitty litter, I've found the bag fills up quickly & tends to discard a lot of clean litter along with the soiled waste. Any tips in this regard would be great but overall happy with product, though it could benefit from being slightly larger in size! Show details
I'd love to rate my experience, but despite ordering the purr-pod & purr-flow on the 3rd June, I've not received either. I do however have an email from the CEO, thanking me for my purchase and how to set up the purr-pod etc. I've another from customer services telling me they've been inundated with orders and use multiple couriers ...... it's now… Read more
the 19th June......
Seriously - I'd love to see reviews myself, so at least I know what I'm missing....
3rd July. Still waiting. Looks like hasn’t even been shipped
The best cat litter robot easy to use simple to set up and makes it even better using the app at an affordable price i think... Fast delivery on there replacement bags at a reasonable price as well. Thanks Purpod.. Show details
This is my first self cleaning cat litter tray, and I must say I do not miss not having to scoop every day. It took my cats (2) a couple of days to get used to the tray, now they go in and out just to watch it turn. There is no smell and changing the bag is very easy. Having the litter mat at the front helps as our little girl gets overly enthusiastic when getting ready and covering up. I am encouraging my daughter to get one for her cats. Show details
I'd love to be more positive about my experience, because the Purr-Pod itself works wonderfully well. Set-up was easy enough. I had trouble connecting it to the app, but the Purr-Pod actually works fine without it, so all good there. The issues were mainly with my dopey cat. He was uneasy about the suspended silicone floor, which apparently didn't… Read more
feel steady under his feet. As a result, he wouldn't always go far enough inside the Purr-Pod, or turn around once in there, so there were a few poos and urine overboard, or on the entry step... Sigh. It worked perfectly otherwise. I didn't take advantage of the generous 3 month return/refund window, because I was in the throes of getting my house ready for sale and moving to another part of the state during that period, and left it in its original (very secure) packaging for the move, hoping he would be fine with it. My cat was probably still a bit spooked by the move itself, and although I left another tray out for him, used familiar litter in the Purr-Pod, and left the power off for a few days, so the machine's active disposal phase wouldn't scare him, he was still very tentative about using it - and I have a very low tolerance for cat poo and wee outside the litter tray, so didn't persist after a week or so. The Purr-Pod has been sitting on the bathroom floor for a few months now; I'll give it another go, but if the cat can't deal with it this time, I'll try to sell it on privately. My main suggestion for improvement would be for the Purr-Pod to be a bit deeper (from the entry to the back of the machine) for bigger cats (mine is long, but within the weight limit for the machine), and for the floor surface below the litter to be as steady as possible underfoot. All in all, the Purr-Pod is a fantastic idea, functions exactly as it is supposed to, and would improve every cat owner's life - providing their cat can deal with the dimensions and the slightly wobbly feel of the suspended floor of the turning cylinder, so it feels comfortable enough to use the machine as intended.
Have been wanting to purchase a robotic kitty litter system for a long while and finally took the leap given I had finally found an Australian supplier. Easy set up and mostly works well, seems to be an issue with the “full” light being stuck on no matter what you do. The machine does as it says it will and reduces mess and odor. The machine feels… Read more
slightly cheap quality which doesn’t at all affect the use of the machine and is also not suitable for bigger sized cats as they aren’t able to turn around inside.
Purr-Pod is exactly as stated, easy to set up and use - kitten took to it easily. It is quiet, has no odour and even my husband managed to work it! Total game changer for a previously non-indoor cat household, I have no hesitation to recommend. Show details
