Roca Cyprus Stonex Shower Floor
1 review
Too prone to damage – We were very attracted to the slimline look and texture of the Roca Stonex Shower Base, especially the slimline look as it suited our bathroom renovation. The key problem is that the base is somewhat fragile. On two occasions items were accidentally dropped on the shower base resulting in the base chipping. As the base is not one consistent colour all the way through, the chips very much stand out, especially on our darker colour base. The items that fell on the base were not unusual items for a bathroom/shower. On one occasion the squeegee device used to clean the shower glass fell and chipped the edge of the base. On the second occasion a back washing brush fell head first next to the drain and chipped away a 7-8mm piece. Yes, the company has a solution for these occurrences, however given the original cost was Approx $1100, I feel charging over $100 for a repair kit is well over the top. At the very least I would expect that a repair kit should have been provided with the base when purchased. The base is a good looking product, however I believe it is not practical, nor worth the risk, especially in a highly active home.
