Really happy with the quality of work done on insulating my home. The workers were so fast and friendly. I would recommend them to anyone. The only ones that came in with a quote I was happy with. Thanks Sydney Roof vac.

Highly Recommended. Professional job & competitive price. Difficulties were quickly resolved. Excellent advice provided – Peter and team removed old non-functional batts and old hot water system and vacuumed clean. They also accessed an area that had a very small entrance. He also removed an old air conditioning duct through this small entrance an installed a new duct that I had provided. I'm very happy with the job.

Highly Recommended and Best job done with complete satisfaction Highly Recommend Roof Vac – We had to have our roof vacuumed and insulation removed as there was 40years of old dust and debris not to mention possum droppings. The team from Roof Vac have done an amazing job in totally cleaning the entire roof space including all the edges that I thought they would not be able to reach. They returned the following morning to installed new… Read more

insulation once they had completed the filthy vacuuming.

I was recommended this company by family friends who have had their roof vac 'd by this company approximately 5years ago and they work hard and efficiently, I can not recommend this company Roof Vac highly enough for doing an amazing job under such tough conditions. call Roof Vac if you are in need of having your roof space vacuumed or require insulation in your roof.

Thank you Roof Vac for making our home a healthier place to live!

An outstanding effort – The job was to remove 4 -decades old pink batts, and to vacuum out the build -up of dust and debris in the roof cavity. The team arrived punctually, and set about removing the old insulation, bagging it, and removing it to their trailer. This was done in difficult circumstances professionally, and with no mess in the house. The empty cavity was then… Read more

vacuumed, using an industrial strength vacuum, coupled from trailer and up to the roof via the manhole.Again, all went smoothly and with no fuss .I highly recommend this company, if you want old insulation removed, and your attic transformed by vacuuming out the accumulated dust.

Morally Worse Than Burglars – Had an upper level added to my home by ExtendaHome Building Constructions based at North Strathfield and it turned out to be a nightmare because of dishonest workers thieving items from my home during the whole renovation, had to call the police to my home on two separate occasions because of pilfering by some of the workers, it happened a third… Read more

time but I gave up on calling the police as they were not able to do anything on the first two occasions.

To keep this brief and to the point, on the third day of the renovation Roof Vac turned up at my home without prior notice, they were contracted by ExtendaHome Constructions to clean out the roof space of my home prior to the construction of the upper level, they had access to my garage from a ceiling manhole.

I had moved my car out and installed extra shelving in the garage as five walls of my house needed to be strengthened to accommodate the extra weight of the upper level to be constructed by ExtendaHome, two men turned up from Roof Vac and were there from around 9:30am to around 5:30pm for what was a relatively small roof cavity, they had an industrial vacuum machine which should have made it at most a half day job.

On their (Roof Vac) invoice which I later obtained from ExtendaHome it states: ''Vacuum ins ceilings, remove and dispose of insulation'' amount: $1.200.00 but the older man on that day who I later found out was the owner of the business Roof Vac said to me ''What are you going to do with these batts'' these were insulation batts still sealed in plastic that I had never completed laying in the roof cavity years earlier, I said ''Well they have to go'' he said ''Give me $300 and I'll get rid of them for you'' I felt uncomfortable with his manner and attitude and said ''Let me think about that'' he said ''You better make your mind up quick I'll only be here for another hour or so'' I rang the Construction supervisor and he said ''Don't worry about it Alan I will be arranging for a dumpster to be put in your front yard and they can go in it'' So even here Roof Vac were dishonest as they were being paid $1,200.00 for this job which included remove and dispose of insulation.

The end result, around $4,000.00 worth of my property was stolen from the garage which they accessed by the garage ceiling manhole, I know this for a fact as I was very suspicious of the two roof cavity cleaners and during this day I checked the garage on four occasions, on the third time I noticed one strip of the architrave manhole edging was broken off and on the floor below, but about one and a half hours later I checked a fourth time and it had been put back into position around the ceiling manhole albeit very roughly and was still hanging loose on one corner, but that proved that one of them had been in the garage as no other workmen were at my house on that day, later in the day around 3:30pm a person walked down the side of my house on two occasions within a minute or two and in hindsight I realise it was one of the roof cavity cleaners checking if I was still in the rear of the house, as I had the vertical blinds partly open I could see the shape of a person standing there but not enough to recognise who it was, the next morning I went into the garage and realised the shelving that was previously full was now half empty, I called the police and they attended my home showed them the garage and explained what happened, they said have you got CCTV I said no that was going to be installed at the end of the renovation, they said they will send the fingerprint section to check for fingerprints but as they were handling insulation batts they were most likely wearing gloves, no fingerprints were found and police could do nothing about my losses.

ExtendaHome who contracted Roof Vac took no responsibility for what was stolen by them and also no responsibility for pilfering by other workers employed by them that were working in my home, and this happened after all the items that were stolen from the garage, when I first spoke with the contracts manager about the robbery from the garage he said ''I'm shocked and sorry to hear that Alan, in all the years we have been in business this has only happened once before when a customer had a very expensive set of Golf clubs stolen from his house, but don't worry Alan we will work something out'' but no compensation was offered for my losses, and when I requested compensation they said words to the effect police could do nothing and you told us that you spoke with your local member and he could do nothing, so that was their excuse to also do nothing, I told the contracts manager that I will be writing a review about my experience with ExtendaHome Constructions and all he could say was ''That's unfortunate''

I note that two good reviews have been published after I uploaded my review, which offsets my warning to others and now gives them an overall higher rating with Product Review, all I can say after my very bad experience with them is why would you take a risk with dishonest people, a leopard doesn't change it's spots, go with another company that you can trust and save yourself all the stress that I went through. I have written many good reviews for reliable and trustworthy companies, but I don't endorse or compliment the bad ones and this is what Product Review is all about, protecting the consumer from dishonest people.

I notice that this company (Roof Vac) has many recent positive Google reviews submitted after what happened to us, so this untrustworthy company are now on their best behaviour and encouraging new customers to give wonderful reviews to negate my review after the appalling act they committed on my wife and myself, but my comprehensive police statement is permanently on record with the NSW Police, and they (Roof Vac) know that if they pull this stunt again to another client they would not be so lucky next time. I'm sure that some of these other customers with any sense of compassion, understanding, and a sense of justice would withdraw their positive reviews after reading what happened to my wife and myself because of the appalling conduct by this dishonest company.

There are many other roof cavity cleaners around Sydney but for peace of mind avoid Roof Vac. Not to be confused with Sydney Roof Vac. (0456-917-796) which is most probably an honest trustworthy company.
