Royal Canin Feline Dental

Vet recommended – So I bought the Royal Canin Veterinary Prescription Dental version because our old vet told me that buying food from the supermarket is like feeding your pets KFC. He said his own cats would live and die on this exact food. This was about 7 years ago or so. My cats are now 8 and almost 8. They have never needed any dental work. Their teeth are in great shape. They are also healthy and have had practically nothing go wrong with them. Every vet I've spoken to (and I've spoken to quite a number of vets) has been supportive of Royal Canin veterinary prescription food. I once asked if I could swap to another brand that was also a vet recommended one, and I was told if I did it would probably come at a cost of potential issues down the track which would cost me anyway (this was a different vet). My current vet told me my cats are on a good diet and that she backs Royal Canin (and no she doesn't sell it herself!) and that if they say their product will do something, then it will. True to Royal Canin's word, my cats teeth are great and their health is also great. My dog is also on the dog version of this food and his teeth are also great! He's five years old and has been on it for over 4 years. He's a healthy dog.
