Royal VKB Food Storage Containers – The issue is only with the regtangular container covers. It doesnt to stay closed,
Faulty covers – These are nice containers, but cannot say the same for the lids as the seal doen't stay closed, and so the food goes to waste. I I have some round model and they are ok. The issue is only with the regtangular container covers.
Love them! – These stay perfect even after several washes in the dishwasher! Show details
Frustrated about the instructions – I got my round container from Safeway. I tried to read the instructions. First of all the pamphlet is so small to read, I needed a magnifying glass. I read it and tried to follow it. It says make sure the valve is in the open position. But it does not say where is the open position? But I couldn't as the cover itself does not show where and how to lock /open it. I am thinking of returning the container. Show details
Useless – Could not get the tabs to fasten down. Nearly broke my fingers. Glad I didn't pay for them. I'm using the bottom of one to store my dishwasher tablets. The other one and the lids are just taking up room in a cupboard. Show details
Wish I could get more of them – It’s clear people are not using them correctly. It’s not Tupperware! The valve on the top is for the pump to make the container air tight. Not a microwave vent! Like TW they have to me heated at 50% microwave temp! They come with instructions it’s worth reading. Show details
Royal VKB Promotional Container from Coles – In all honesty I cannot tell anyone how good this container might have been. Upon getting it home I took the lid off, inspected what, initially, appeared to be a good container. Then came the nightmare of getting the lid back on, it is impossible to close the tabs on the top lid under the groove on the bottom. The lid just does not fit. … Read more
I now have a brand new and unused container that will end up in landfill [simply because less than 15% of plastic is ever recycled in Australia]. Environmentally, the raw materials needed to manufacture and transport these containers to Coles is huge, and for what. Royal VKB, you are a disgrace, there is no way you were unaware of the flaw in the design of these containers, and yet you allowed Coles to use them in a promotion.
Sorry Coles, you really got this one wrong. WHAT A WASTE.
why did this happen – Put my container in microwave for 4 min to heat carrots in water, whole base was distorted , what is the air vent for .Purchased through Coles reward point Program, had to spend a lot of money to get this. instructions said micro and dish washer safe only used this container a couple of times beforE but not in the microwave
Be careful – I received about 7 containers, "free" from Coles. Was really happy with how they looked, and how practical they seemed to be. They claim to be freezer, microwave and dishwasher proof, so imagine my surprise when the plastic started peeling, only on the inside, where the food goes. Ingesting plastic, whether it's BPA free or not, can't be a good thing for your health.
