Possibly the worst toaster I have ever bought. Impossible to get evenly toasted slices. Worse still, the toaster itself gets dangerously hot and takes a long time to cool down. Don't let any electrical wires near it until it cools.

The Colours Plus 2 slice toaster casing gets very hot in operation and a long time to cool down afterwards. Is this normal? It is so hot that I have to keep wiring away from it.

Like most people, I thought Russell Hobbs was a good brand but this toaster is useless. The bread, no matter what shape, comes out un-toasted in the centre and burnt at the edges. The settings dial seems to only differentiate between not cooked, partly cooked or burnt. Life's too short for bad toast, so this is destined for the metal recyclers.

Hi there, thankyou for your response. I will take the toaster back to the point of purchase and see how I go. In the meantime, I can see there have been a few reviews about the quality of this toaster, so hopefully the model can be improved to resolve the issues. Thanks again.
Disappointing – Very disappointed. I have a Russell Hobbs black kettle which I love. Wanted the long slot toaster in black to match. Cannot get a successful piece of toast with this toaster. Burns the crust but the rest is still untoasted. Have tried pretty much all settings with the same results. Will be packing up and going back to my old cheap toaster. Bought from Bunnings 2 weeks ago
