Best kettle and toaster hands down – Have now owned the matching glass touch kettle and toaster for 10 years!!! Never missed a beat. Not sure how it’s only rated 2.5 stars never had the opportunity to own any other brand to rate it against. This kettle and toaster slays….. Show details ·  1

I'm Burning – I purchased the toaster In August and already the thing is burning toast even when on the lower settings, 2-3 at first it was making the toast just right, then it just started burning, I have to put the toast in on the 1st setting and watch it, I think the thermostat is not quality, paying $129 for a toaster to have it not even last a year is not… Read more

quality.

I purchased the kettle at the same time, as they match and look good next to each other. However I will not be looking to Russell Hobb after this when they die. Style, Touch panel. Burns toast,

Ignore the negative!! – Love it!!! I bought the kettle some time ago and fell in love: the toaster seemed like a logical match! Quick and perfect, and very pretty ;) Easy to stop the LED being on constantly... Turn it off! Worth the money, and like another review I have read, I'm glad I ignored all the negative remarks Was pricey but got a great deal

Thank god I didn't take any notice of the previous reviews – Whilst looking for a replacement toaster I can across the RH Glass Touch model and was very impressed with it's great looks. Did the right thing and looked on Product Review to check it out and was overwhelmed by the negative reviews posted. Went back to the department store to see what was available and I was again seduced by it's great looks,… Read more

threw caution to the wind and purchased it.

What are you people talking about, it is a great toaster and being able to take long slices of bread is just a bonus, the LED lit controls look good as well and soon turn off after toasting.

Some times it pays to just go with your heart. Sleek good looks, ability to take long slices of bread, LED Controls. Not the cheapest on the market.

Sorry, not good enough, especially for the money – I went and bought this toaster because I like Lawson's Bread which is longer that the standard sandwich loaf from other bakers. On the surface, this toaster looks great. So despite it's relatively high price I decided to buy one thinking Russel Hobbs is a good brand. Unfortunately it fails to deliver. I only just got it, but here are my initial… Read more

observations.

(1) It uses power all the time. In these days of energy efficiency it's not good enough. It says it has a "sleep low-power mode" after 5 minutes but I didnt check how much it still uses

(2) the browning (toasting) control is electronic but has no fine tuning. It seems to increment by something close to 30 second intervals. My next toaster will definitely have a turn knob instead of an electronic adjustment.

(3) every time I put the bread in, it goes back to setting #4 which overcooks the toast. So i have to change the setting everytime I want toast. Maybe once I play with it a bit more I'll figure out something better.

At the moment, I wish i'd bought a different toaster is all I can say. Looks good, one of the few toasters that can handle real bread (e.g. Lawsons, sour-dough, etc.) as opposed to the standard tiny squares in other brands. Uses power all the time because it has new-fangled LED display, browning adjustment is not good enough - seems to increment in 30 second periods so you can have it underdone or burnt, reverts to the middle toasting setting every time I go to toast something.

Hmm.... didn't last very long! – We received this toaster as a gift last year. Within the first 2 weeks the 'eject' button failed. Yesterday the whole toaster just gave up the 'toast'. We where so delighted when we received this toaster, it looks lovely, it's so easy to clean and the concept is wonderful but for something that costs quite a bit of money, I expect more than 8… Read more

months service... and it was light service too.

We haven't tried to return it yet, will ring Russell Hobbs tomorrow but without a receipt I don't like our chances claiming on our 2 year warranty. Looks, easy to clean. It only lasted 8 months with very light use.

Returned both the kettle and the toaster twice... Not reliable – We received as a wedding gift, as was placed on wedding registry. Really nice looking appliances but the electronic buttons are not reliable and have stopped working twice on both products within 6 months! Very frustrating to have to return something you need every day! If you do want this product make sure you fill out the warranty leaflet. You will need it! looks Keeps breaking
