Gets worse over time – I was delighted with this kettle when I bought it about 8 months ago. It looked good and it was indeed - whisper quiet. However as the months have gone by, it has become louder and louder and is now just as loud as my previous kettle. Very disappointed, as it wasn't cheap.  Show details

Not a good deal – Bought this jug about two years ago. Went well for one and a half years . The outer surface then developed pitting all over. Gradually expanded to cover all the red surface. The jug functioned well enough but was badly let down by bad plating on the exterior. Will not trust coated metal surface from PRC again.  Show details

Never again – This is our second Russell Hobbs kettle first one lasted about 3 years then fell apart at the top. Woke up this morning to find that this one didn't even last 1 year as kettle leaked all over the electrical base and blew it out. Never again with Russell Hobbs.

Love this Kettle – Brought this around 2 and a half years ago and it is still going good. I remember the first time i used this it impressed me. family it has had heavy use over the past year! So 2 and a half years of good solid use all up so far. Hoping it will keep on going for some time! fingers crossed. Structurally It is holding very good inside and out. No fading, no cracking, very impressive Kettle.

Red metallic Russell Hobbs cordless jug – Went well for almost ayear then it basically blew up had four cups of water in it but blue sparks shot out of the bottom so dangerous

It is quiet! – After reading previous reviews I was going to stay away but as it was on sale I bought it from Target. It is much quieter than previous kettles, quick to boil and it even has a pretty blue light you can watch as the water boils. So far so good!
