Russell Hobbs kettle. Deceptive Claim online and on the box – It might be an okay kettle if you trust water boiled in plastic but HOW can you trust a company that sells you a plastic kettle whilst claiming that it's actually stainless steel? On the box as you can see from the picture, Russell Hobbs claim "Ombre Stainless Steel" while neglecting to tell the prospective buyer that the allegation, "Ombre Stainless Steel" refers to the visual finish of what is actually just plastic.
It might look like "ombre stainless steel" but it is absolutely, definitely and totally just cheap, plastic.
This is an amoral marketing trick by people who feel entitled to deceive customers. Russell Hobbs have lost a customer in me. I will literally, NEVER trust one of their products again.
Discuss concerns? Alternative solutions? Dude, I found an alternative solution and that's to buy a kettle that is NOT a Russell Hobbs. THAT is the only solution here.
Broken after 18 months – As above it never lasted very well. Also lots of rust inside it. For the price I would have expected it to last longer. We have gone back to a K-mart branded one. The toaster we bought at the same time is still going ok though.

Hi and thanks for the reply. You won't be able to "get it back in action" as this was sent to recycling after it refused to work anymore when we purchased another kettle.
