Poorly made to a price so no quality and no performance – Sliced bread had to be lifted out and turned over to get an even toasting and often popped up before ready. The settings varied but times were way out, so care had to be taken as bread once caught on fire & went over time. The lifting lever is attached to the main toasting frame by a 2mm plastic curve which eventually broke off making it… Read more
unusable,as no way to reattach it. When phoned the Australian agency said made to a price, NOT made to a quality & a steel attachment would be too expensive!!Also advised the stamped item number of manufactured date was the beginning of the warranty period,& not the date of purchase, which is totally incorrect as warranty covers period of use not the time spent sitting in a warehouse!!The item was used only in the morning for toasting standard sliced bread .so very expensive per slice!! Agency not prepared to assist in any way regardless of any new considerations,& not prepared to contact manufacturer over poor make construction. No wonder Russell Hobbs products get such poor reviews with cheap production & no back up from agents on complaints. Would never purchase again regardless of any special promotions,!!
Looks good, waste of money – This toaster broke within the first 4 months of purchase we were able to get it working again haphazardly for another 6 months or so and then the lever broke. We have also had a Russell Hobbs kettle that didn't last long. I wouldn't bother with Russell Hobbs, as you'll only be paying for a nice object that doesn't function as it should. Show details
Doesn’t toast – On our second one after returning the first due to it not functioning as a toaster. Same problem with the second. It’s terrible to see how unresponsive the manufacturer is to the many complaints about this and their other products. Show details
