failed due to poor component in switch – the on and off switch has failed after 3yrs of fairly minimal use, due to flimsy piece of plastic becoming brittle and breaking due to heat of boiled water! A dud design item and the manufacturer probably saved saved 50 cents and $120 kettle now worthless scrap! grr. grrr. grrr!

LOOKS GREAT BUT BE CAREFUL! – I loved this kettle... the look and design. It was so easy to clean and to see if had to be filled up and was quick to boil. However after about 12 months I noticed that the glass within the lid had started to fracture/shatter. I continued using it, but it gradually got worse and unfortunately by the time I contacted the manufacturer it was… Read more

just out of warranty, although they did offer to send me a replacement kettle worth about $45.00 (I paid $120 for the glass one). I was really disappointed but have since talked to sales people who said they definitely encounter more returns and problems with all glass kettles. I didn't find this a noisy kettle, but I did notice my daughter always turned up the tv every time I turned it on to boil!

I am a bit concerned, however,… Read more

about the durability of the switches on the kettle. The one used to open the lid, in particular, seems quite flimsy. It remains to be seen whether this kettle will last 17 years like the old one did, but it's going well so far.

Pretty good but has some pitfalls – Good quality kettle, does the job and is whisper quiet. However, it's very easy to accidentally overfill this jug because the 'maximum fill' level is hard to see because of the dark coloured glass. It also leaks down the jug sometimes when pouring. Overall we like it - it's better than our last jug, but not as good as I thought it would be (we… Read more

purchased online without having seen it in the flesh beforehand) Good quality, quiet operation Hard to see water level through dark glass, leaks during pouring
