stripped a gear after pruning one pear tree – Stripped gear, contacted Ryobi Australia to order and pay for the requisite part. They couldn't care less. aAdvised me to visit my nearest Bunnings. Well I'm on Kangaroo Island and I don't have the $500 to go to Adelaide.

Magical device – What can I say - this tool has made the normally tedious task of pruning enjoyable. Very powerful and uses little battery.

Great birthday gift! – Got one of these as a birthday present and it's the bomb! I thought it was a bit over the top having power assisted secateurs but this is fab. It's not too heavy and does a great job. I'm happy with it.

Great- another very useful and well designed Ryobi garden tool – Should have bought this first! My wife suffers mild arthritis but loves her gardening. For her birthday I bought her a cordless Ozito 3.6v garden pruner. What an incredibly bad design - wouldn’t even cut as well as a cheap hand pruner from Aldi. The Ozito design is just a complete fail, with the blades usually separating and crushing the stem that one is trying to cut. We returned the Ozito pruner for a refund, and instead bought a Ryobi One 18v pruner to add to our fairly large list of Ryobi gardening tools. Although around twice the price of the Ozito pruner, this Ryobi is just cheese and chalk in comparison. It does the job quickly and effortlessly, is nicely balanced especially with the smallest 18v battery, and of course works with ALL of the Ryobi 18v batteries that we already own for other tools. Early days yet, (have only just bought the Ryobi pruner) but we have given it a workout today and couldn’t be much happier at this stage.
