Work horse – 10 years no worries Very quiet running. They like most have a lot of plastic but mine did not break, a few cracks. Easy to clean and never had to defrost. Great to clean the front doors as No smear marks like stainless steel suffers from. It has never given any trouble and only sold it to get one with water and auto ice! This one has manual ice trays.. to NQ on the back of a trailer, and then back to the south-east again in a truck. I can't fault it. I've never had to ring customer service though, so I can't comment on that! Looks, very sleek and minimalist. Chose it for energy efficiency and power consumption.

Terrible – DON'T BUY SAMSUNG, Cost us $2000 for a piece of junk that doesn't do the job. the price which cost us over $2,000 it is simply pitiful. Has never worked properly from day one. Ice cream does not freeze,drinks in fridge door do not get cool. external display shows your desired temp (you wish) internal temp never gets close to it though. It is noisy. We have had it for 4 years, The last few days a mild burning type smell was coming from the refrigerator, awoke this morning it is no longer working, lost most of our frozen goods, had to throw them as well as lot of stuff from refrigerator out as we had no where to store them and being Sunday no way of getting it fixed.

OK – Never found them noisy, only minor things go wrong with them which are cheap and easy to fix. Most faults occur under the 2 year complete warranty so repair costs/finding a repairer aren't an issue. Osborneair in perth is a good repairer for them when out of warranty. Bad – Disappointed the unit has died after such a short period, as would have expected to run a good time after the final 5 year warranty period expired. Looks good for the price only Difficult to find somebody who can service as Samsung don't supply parts just to any service provider - Ridiculous!!!!

Very nice fridge/freezer – Our Samsung fridge/freezer is now over 7 years old and still working well. We have the temperatures set at -18ºC for the freezer and 4ºC for the fridge and it operates quietly keeping everything inside fresh. freeze quicker. After a short time, I can see on the display where the temperature has dropped in the freezer then after about 2 hours or so, the quick freeze light goes out and it's back to it's previous setting which I always lock in case grandchildren decide to tamper with the display buttons.

I like the glass shelving which is easy to clean and prevents anything from dropping down to the shelf below. The shelving on the doors lifts out easily to be washed then replaced.

The only problem I've had with it is minor in comparison to the problems others seem to have had. Mine is that the full width drawer in the fridge marked "fresh center" got broken on the right side when it was left pulled out slightly and the door shut - this has happened twice. The drawer still slides in and out but the overlapped edge used to pull it out is what's damaged though where the break is, that's not an area where I would handle the drawer anyway - just a small blip really. The internal size is great and there's plenty of width on the door shelf for those 2 litre bottles of soft drink

Best fridge we have ever had – This unit is one of the best things we have ever bought,has never let us down,keeps cold and freezes very quick,excellent fridge.
