Great until it wasn't! – I purchased this fridge a month and a half ago. Being a Samsung enthusiast, I was excited for our purchase. Funny enough the thing I love most about this fridge is the one thing that has broken. I wish I did more research prior to purchasing this fridge as now it's apparent that this problem we are having is a common occurrence. The Ice dispenser is not dispensing ice and the ice flap that will usually open when dispensing the ice is opening and closing continually. After one night of it opening and closing it is now making this horrid screeching noise along with the noise the flap was originally making. I have called The Good Guys to put in a warranty claim and now awaiting a call from Samsung for someone to come and fix the problem. Quite frustrating as we now have to listen to this extremely annoying sound over the weekend, The Good Guys tell me I should hear from Samsung on Tuesday given it's Friday today. The other thing I'm stressed about is the fact this has happened so early on, how many more times is this going to happen!? I hope not ever but I don't like the odds of that given I have only had this fridge for 1.5 months! My last fridge lasted 16 years before it died on me, I was so excited to start fresh with this new fridge and have a nice long life with it! Now I'm just feeling stressed and anxious about my purchase, is this something I'm going to have to deal with for the life of the fridge!? At the moment I'm feeling really robbed as a customer and honestly, I wish I could just get a refund or an exchange as I have lost all hope in this product. I understand that a refund isn't really on the cards and the company have an obligation to fix it but at this stage all I'm feeling is buyers regret, it's not fair that a customer doesnt have the right to a refund straight off the bat on a product that has a known fault. Extremely disappointed, frustrated and annoyed to say the least.

Worst ice machine ever – The ice machine jams on a daily basis. There us no convenience in accessing the ice because you gave to dismantle and reassemble the ice maker every time you want ice. You can’t remove the ice maker without spilling a significant quantity of ice on the floor. Astonishingly poor design. The price tag is over the top. It’s priced based on perceived value not actual value. The screen and operating system is slow, pedestrian and unimpressive. The volume control us impossible to find and the memory is extremely limited.

Dont buy – Has broken down 2 times in a year and half. Customer service terrible takes over a week to get looked at unsympathetic try to say if your fault. They want shopping do kets for 100,s of dollars of lost food and medication , hard when try save food from shortages. Last time it didnt come on from power outage tried to reset , second time it did 12 hrs later, repair people said if they could find nothing wrong I would have to pay because it started i didnt risk more cost, a worry if have to go away and board dosnt read. The wait time for repairs isnt good in the heat to try have cold drinks. Thought i pay for a good fridge extra warranty for piece of mind. Seriously dont go with samsung

Do not waste money on this – The fridge was awesome with a nice entertainment screen until Samsung decided to throw a software update called Tizen 6.0 that disables all of its features. The internal design is good with plenty of space as expected from this type of fridge. However we hate it so much and feel so disappointed on the money spent on it when they rolled out a so-called firmware update.
You can search "Samsung family hub tizen 6.0 do not update to it" and see a huge number of complaints on this software update, a lot of grief, regret, anger and there is no way to reverse it. Samsung dev team really messed up this time but they don't listen to customers anymore.
Our recommendation is just buy a normal fridge and stick a tablet on it will be even better than this one. Stay away at all cost! For us we will not buy any further Samsung product given that the product can suddenly turn into junk like this one thanks to Samsung.
